Liz Caskey Culinary & Wine Experiences is a boutique travel design firm founded by Liz Caskey Francisco Ramírez in late 2004. Based in Santiago, Chile, we offer private standardized and tailor-made culinary, wine, and cultural journeys in Chile, Argentina, and Uruguay for our discerning clients.
As experts on cuisine and wine in the Southern Cone, we see this is a natural spring board for exploration of local customs and awe-inspiring nature. The Southern Cone is home to some of the most virgin lands in the world like Patagonia; the driest corner on Earth, the Atacama Desert; renowned vineyards; a fascinating blend of indigenous and European heritage; a mix of modernity and tradition; and some of the most passionate, intense people you’ll ever meet.
On each journey, we connect clients as insiders through direct experiences in local culture: food, wine, daily life, festivals, and, of course, the spectacular nature. We choreograph each experience to flow into the next. Our intent is to open the doors to the soul of these destinations. You will leave not only feeling like you experienced them, but for a short time, that you became part of these places. In addition to photos, memories, great bottles of wine, and meals shared, you leave with new friends and a sensation of connection. This is our travel (and life) philosophy at its core: to connect and profoundly inspire.
“Our trip through Chile and Argentina with you was truly memorable. You’ve done a great job at establishing relationships in the wine industry as well as the hospitality industry – and it all shows in the finished product that was our trip. We thoroughly enjoyed everywhere we went, the first class establishments where we stayed, and the experience of the whole trip (not to mention all we ate and drank!). We’ve been a lot of places and on a lot of trips – this truly will be remembered as one of our more fun experiences as well as a great educational experience in the Chilean/Argentine wine industry – and our now much better understanding of wine as well as the industry. Thanks.”
“We thoroughly enjoyed our adventure with you in the Colchagua Valley--without question a highlight of our three weeks in South America. Your professionalism, expertise, passion and sense of fun brought our trip to what seemed like the perfect conclusion.”
“Thank you for all of your assistance in making our trip to Chile and Argentina a wonderful experience! We enjoyed the food, wine, accommodations, culture but, most importantly, our guides. Everyone made us feel welcome. Having lunch at your home was a great way to wrap up our Chilean experience.“
