You're needed to help orphaned and vulnerable children in Chennai, southern India. Official figures indicate that that there are over 5,000 child laborers in the Chennai area. Once homeless or living in unimaginable poverty, the youth we serve are now preparing for a productive, healthy future. Your help is much needed to teach and stimulate young minds, care for youth of all ages, assist with light construction and renovation to improve educational and living conditions, and provide medical care. Know that your compassion makes all the difference to a struggling child. View a "Day in the Life"documentary produced by some of the students we serve.

You offer the "extra" attention the kids crave and deserve, while also experiencing life in the spiritual land of India -- with its diverse languages, culture, and lifestyles.     India Work ProjectsCare for orphaned and abandoned children - The children we care for face several challenges. Many are orphaned, and others come from homes that are simply too poor to care for them. Their needs are great, and you're needed to help in simple ways to improve their lives.Read short letters from four children in our hosts' care.
    Teach conversational English to students of all ages English is the business and communicative language in India. Teaching conversational English and other subjects in standard classrooms gives them "leg up" in the competitive world of work.
    Assist in construction and labor projects - your help is much needed to paint, tile, do light carpentry and other renovations to improve the living conditions of the children.
