We visit many of the highlights in Classic Costa Rica, but for those of us with a taste for outings a little more strenuous, we have created this hiking and multisport trip, which not only gives us a different take on the country’s natural glories but also offers an insider’s perspective on unique campesino culture, deep in the interior of the countryside. Our days are spent hiking some of Costa Rica’s most spectacular backcountry trails and mingling in the homes of locals, and our evenings are spent at restful and rewardingly delightful lodges and boutique hotels that are of the same caliber as those on the more traveled path.
