Itinerary

Day 1 – NAIROBI: Arrive Nairobi and transfer to Ngong House. Overnight here. (Airline meals)

Days 2-4 – OLDONYO WUAS (AMBOSELI): Fly to Oldonyo Wuas and experience three days of safari activities, elegant surroundings and luxurious accommodations. (B, L, D, Dr)

Ol Donyo Wuas lies in the foothills of the Chyulu Range on the Mbirikani Group Ranch, a 275,000 Maasai owned ranch that is located between the Amboseli, Chyulu, Tsavo and Kilimanjaro National Parks. The Lodge nestles in the western foothills of the Chyulu range, overlooking Kilimanjaro with quintessential Africa in the foreground, flat top acacia trees and golden savannah.

Ol Donyo Wuas Lodge has ten luxurious suites in six stand-alone lodges. Some are two bedded suites, while others are four bedded private bush-homes with their own private lounges and swimming pools. All of Ol Donyo Wuas' bedrooms have rooftop "star-beds" and a sundowner area where guests enjoy dramatic views over the plains and onto Mount Kilimanjaro, allowing the more adventurous the option to sleep out safely and comfortably under the stars. Each suite and lodge is designed and positioned slightly differently. All are luxurious and opulent, while retaining the atmosphere and sense of place that is an essential ingredient of an outstanding bush lodge.

Days 5-7– LEWA DOWNS:  Fly to Lewa Downs, an exclusive, private game reserve in central Kenya. Enjoy three days of game drives and many other activities while staying in the beautiful countryside at luxurious Lewa Wilderness. (B, L, D, Dr)

At famous Lewa Wilderness, guests can relax by the fire in a cozy sitting room and share meals around a long banquet table in the open-air dining room. Natural springs, home-raised livestock, and a 5-acre organic garden are transformed by skilled chefs into healthy and delicious food. The salt-water pool is refreshing, the stables are full of horses for guests to ride, and the clay tennis court comes equipped with both rackets and balls. A professional guiding team leads guests on customized daily safaris and educates them about flora, fauna, animal behavior, conservation, and more. Activities include: day and night game drives, bush walks with a professional tracke, horse rides, camel rides, game binids, hiking with a Maasai warrior, archaeological site visits, Maasai boma visits.

Days 8-10 – MASAI MARA:  Fly to the Masai Mara and transfer to Rekero Camp for three days in Kenya’s most famous reserve. (B, L, D, Dr)

The Masai Mara is the best known game reserve in Kenya, famous for it’s abundance of wildlife and seasonally, the great wildebeest migration. Rekero Tented Camp is situated at a prime location within the reserve, close to the confluence of the Mara and Talek River, site of the main wildebeest crossings during the migration. The camp overlooks large pools populated with hippo and crocodile, and offers some of the finest big cat viewing in Africa. The camp is set up seasonally (June-October, December – March) and caters for up to sixteen guests. A team of professional Masai safari guides and camp crew provide guests with an in-depth and truly memorable Masai Mara experience. Accommodation is in four spacious double/twin tents and three triple tents – all with en-suite flush toilets and safari showers.

Day 11 – FLIGHTS: Enjoy a last morning in the bush, then after lunch, transfer to the airstrip for your flight to Wilson Airport. Upon landing, you’ll be driven to a local restaurant for dinner, then on to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport to connect with your flight home. (B, L)
