Itinerary

Day 1 – NAIROBI: Arrive Nairobi. You’ll be met at the airport and transferred to House of Waine. Meals and overnight here.

Days 2 - 4 – MERU NATIONAL PARK: Fly to Meru National Park and enjoy three days exploring this safari gem wit h accommodation s at Elsa’s Kopje.  (B, L, D, Dr)

For many years Kenya’s best kept secret, the untamed wilderness of Meru National Park is best explored from its hidden jewel – Elsa’s Kopje. Made famous by the film ‘Born Free’ and George Adamson’s lions, the lodge is invisible to the eye as you approach the kopje. Each of the 9 individually built cottages are luxuriously appointed, and here you’ll find the ultimate ‘room with a view.’ Activities include morning and afternoon game drives, game walks, sundowners and swimming in the pool.

Days 5 - 7 – MASAI MARA:  Fly to the Masai Mara to enjoy three days at Cottar’s Camp, a 1920’s-style luxury tented camp on the edge of the Masai Mara. Here, you can view abundant game, enjoy game drives, nature walks, drinks around the campfire, and a cozy tent, one of just six here. Meals and overnights at Cottar’s 1920s Camp. (B, L, D, Dr)

The Masai Mara is the best known game reserve in Kenya, famous for it’s abundance of wildlife and seasonally, the great wildebeest migration. Located in the Maasai Mara, Cottar’s Camp is within a 22,000 acre exclusive concession. This 1920’s camp experience returns to the original spirit and essence of ‘safari’, reminiscent of a golden bygone era, an era of romance, adventure and elegance.

Days 8 - 10 – BEACH: Fly to beautiful Kiwayu on the Indian Ocean. Kiwayu is situated forty km north of Lamu, off Kenya’s remote North Coast. It nestles amongst sand dunes overlooking a sheltered lagoon with miles of deserted beaches with soft white sand and the soothing sound of waves.  Meals and overnights Kiwayu Lodge. (B, L, D)

This high-end rustic chic lodge has for a long time enjoyed the reputation of being one of the very best beach options in the region. With 18 beautiful thatched bandas set in sand dunes at the back of a lovely beach, the place has a real sense of remoteness. The bandanas are crafted by hand from local material and spread out along nearly a mile of private sandy shoreline, guests will experience tranquility and ultimate privacy. All one can hear is the sound of the sea, the wind rushing through palm leaves and the melodic twitter of exotic birds. Kiwayu is a natural, simple but luxurious retreat~ barefoot luxury at its finest.

Day 11 – FLIGHTS: Enjoy a last morning at the beach, then after lunch, transfer to the airstrip for your flight to Wilson Airport in Nairobi. Upon landing, you’ll be driven to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport to connect with your flight home. (B, L)
