Itinerary

Day 1 – ARUSHA: Arrive in Arusha, drive to Lake Manyara while enjoying game viewing and  a picnic lunch. Dinner and overnight at Kirurumu Tented Camp. (L, D)

You’ll need to arrive Arusha in the morning or mid-day, otherwise an overnight in Arusha will be required at an additional cost.

Day 2 – SERENGETI: After breakfast, you will depart for Serengeti National Park. Game viewing en route with a picnic lunch.  Dinner and overnight at Ikoma Safari Camp (Standard) or Mbuzi Mawe Tented Camp (Deluxe). (B, L, D)

Ikoma Safari Camp is a permanent luxury tented camp in the Serengeti located on the main wildebeest migration route between the Serengeti and the Masai Mara. It is raised up on the side of an impressive bush with broad scattered acacia trees and endless savannah. The camp consists of 3 luxury tented suites, 2 luxury tented family suites and 6 exclusive round traditional tented suites spread out to ensure privacy and exclusivity. Each has full en-suite bathroom and a private veranda.

Mbuzi Mawe Tented Camp lies at the epicenter of the Serengeti within easy reach of the prime wildlife theatres of Lobo, the Western Corridor of the Grumeti River, the southern grass plains, the Seronera Valley and the kopjes, or inselberg of Gol, Barafu, Maasai, Loliondo, Simba and Moru. Accommodation comprises of 16 luxurious, very spacious tents, each with 24-hour generator electricity, constant hot water, ensuite bathroom, dressing area, two double four-poster beds and a verandah with a double sun bed.

Day 3 – SERENGETI: After breakfast, enjoy an all-day game drive in the Serengeti. This giant ecosystem is home to millions of animals including lions, cheetah, leopards, buffalo, elephants, zebras, impalas, hyenas, gazelles, hippos, crocodiles, and much more.  Options for nature walks and night game drives for and additional cost. Sundowners are provided.  Dinner and overnight at Ikoma Safari Camp or Mbuzi Mawe Tented Camp. (B, L, D)

Day 4 – NGORONGORO: After breakfast you will drive to Ngorongoro Crater and enjoy game viewing on the crater floor. Picnic lunch en route. This 100-square-mile caldera is home to more than 20,000 large mammals including lions, leopards, elephants, zebras, wildebeest and the rare black rhino. Dinner and overnight at Plantation Lodge. (B, L, D)

Day 5 –ARUSHA: After breakfast you will be transferred back to Arusha. Upon your arrival in Arusha, enjoy lunch before you are dropped at Kilimanjaro International Airport for your onward flight. (B, L)
