DAYS 1 & 2

Porto, Regua & Pinhao, Portugal

Your afternoon tour of Porto includes the highlights, visiting the Stock Exchange Palace, the Lello bookshop, an exquisite landmark dating to the early 1900s and Casa do Infante. Journey along the picturesque River Douro, through the Port Wine region. Meet the owner at Quintada Pacheca wine estate who will show you their process of producing wine and sample their Port. (B)

DAY 3

Obidos & Sintra

Visit the quaint and white-walled town of Obidos, founded by the Moors in the 18th century. Then continue on to the aristocratic town of Sintra, where English poet Lord Byron lived, and called “Paradise on Earth.” (B)

DAYS 4 & 5

Cascais & Lisbon

Your morning tour of Sintra will explore some of the castles including “Palacioda Pena,” or Pena Palace. Then follow the scenic coastline, referred to as the Portuguese Riviera, with breaks to take in wonderful vistas. On Day 5, enjoy a tour of Lisbon, starting with a visit to the 16th-century Belem Tower and Jeronimos Monastery. Take a ride on the charming tram for a breathtaking panoramic view of the city. (2B)

DAY 6

Reguengos de Monsaraz & Evora

Évora is a royal city with more than 2,000 years of history. Enjoy a walking tour through the labyrinthine streets—admiring the Moorish courtyards, Renaissance fountains, and gothic doorways and turrets. (B, L) 

Convento do Espinheiro, Evora

DAYS 7 & 8

Igrejinha, Arraiolos & Lisbon

Depart Évora and drive to Herdade dos Coelheiros wine estate for a private visit. After lunch at the estate, explore the quaint little town of Arraiolos before returning to Lisbon. On Day 8, you will be taken to the airport for your flight home or onto your next destination. (2B, L)
