Itinerary
Day 1 Arrive Bangkok

Arrive at Suvarnabhumi Airport where you will be met by a representative.
Transfer to the hotel by private air-conditioned van with English speaking guide.
Check in at the Peninsula Bangkok Hotel After a long flight, you will be relaxed by a “Jet Lag Eliminator Aromatherapy Massage” at the hotel. Rebalance your energy level by lifting your spirits with energizing oil or relax into untroubled sleep with soothing oil.
After your massage, a light afternoon tea will be provided at the privacy of your hotel room.
In the evening, you will take a shuttle boat of the hotel along the Chao Phrya River to dinner at Sala Rim Naam. Bangkok’s signature Thai restaurant has recently been transformed into a mini royal palace serving fine Thai cuisine and an extensive list of the finest Thai Wines.
Day 2
Peninsula Bangkok Hotel

This morning, Board the private long--tailed boat and proceed to temple to partake in a solemn Buddhist ceremony of alms, the opportunity to experience a religious part of the Thai culture. We embark on a short trip along the Chao Phraya River and visit one of the wats (temple) along the banks.
Continue on to visit the magnificent “Grand Palace” and “Temple of the Emerald Buddha” by private long-tailed boat. The Grand Palace is the royal palace of the Kings of the Chakri dynasty founded in 1782 and is the current ruling house. Although the present royal family no longer resides in the Grand Palace, the structure is still the official seat of the King's power and ceremonial occasions are celebrated here.
Please note: When visiting The Grand Palace, please be aware that appropriate attire is required. No shorts, no short skirts and no sleeveless attire are permitted to be worn within the grounds.
Enjoy Tuk Tuk open-air taxi ride to Supatra River House Restaurant for lunch (Thai set menu). After lunch, proceed to Klong (canal) tour by taking a private long-tailed boat on the pictures Chao Phraya River and Klong (Canals) to see the scene family homes and temples along the water - way which gives this city the name 'Venice of the east' Along the way ,stop at the Temple of Dawn (Wat Arun).
The temple is of Khmer design, ornately carved out of sandstone; its rich pantheon of demons, monkeys and guardians cast an eerie image across the surrounding city setting.
Transfer back to the hotel by private long-tailed boat.

Day 3 Bangkok - Samut Songkram - Bangkok

This morning you will start in South Bangkok for our bicycle exploration of the Mae Klong Delta area at Damnoen Saduak floating market, the biggest and most colorful in Thailand and a must for any visitor. Purchase just about anything from the vast array of “shops” on the river.
The local way-of life has remained traditional, agricultural and revolves around the colorful floating markets where the fruits of the surrounding orchards are traded.
After discovering the sights and sounds of the floating market, we embark on a long tail boat and cruise through a maze of canals cutting through local villages and various plantations. This eye-opening boat ride offers a glimpse of Thailand of old where local people are going about their daily life with the canal as the focal point.
Our ride takes us through coconut, aloe vera plantations and fruit orchards. Riding quiet back roads and jeep trails we stop to visit interesting temples and
appreciate the countryside. Depending on the season, you will see grapes, lychee, pomelo, guava and coconuts ripe for picking.
One of the temples we visit is the Wat Bang Kung. This quirky temple is held up by a huge banyan tree but you can still step inside and see the Buddha image. This temple is housed in the old Bang Kung army camp, which was used to garrison soldiers when regaining Thailand’s independence from Burma. We also visit the exceptional carved temple of Wat Bang Kae Noi where the inside of the Wat has carved panels depicting the story of the enlightenment of Buddha.
Having enjoyed a delicious Thai lunch at a riverside restaurant, we continue cycling on picturesque trails through lush vegetation towards the starting point of the floating market.
After enjoying some well-deserved refreshments you will have the chance to explore a temple complex and a local market before starting our journey back to Bangkok to beat the rush hour.

Day 4: Bangkok - Chiang Rai

Breakfast at the hotel. Check out and transfer to Domestic Airport for departure to Chiang Rai by Thai Airways, estimate departure time is 09.10 hrs. Around 10.30 hrs arrive at Chiang Rai Airport, on arrival you will be welcomed by a representative.
Chiang Rai is the north of the province belongs to the so-called Golden Triangle, at which the borders of Thailand, Laos and Myanmar converge.
Check in at Anantara Resort & Spa Golden Triangle. Upon arrival at the front of the hotel, you will be welcomed by elephants and take a short step to the lobby area. A relaxing bath awaits you, freshen up and enjoy a light afternoon tea at the privacy of your hotel room.
Leave for the Golden Triangle area, where the borders of Thailand, Burma and Laos meet. Take a long-tailed boat trip along the mighty Mae Khong River to Chiang Saen. Visit Chiang Saen (A.D.1260) on the steep banks of Mae khong River, opposite to Laos. Witness some magnificent, ancient ruins and temples.

Day 5: Chiang Rai

Early breakfast at the hotel. Around 07:30 am, proceed to Chiang Saen Fresh and Live Food Market. Visit the vegetable, seafood, spice and herb stalls where our Chef will probably buy ingredients for the morning’s event. Enjoy a morning coffee with the locals. Quick stop on the way back to visit The Spirit House and make an offering of flowers and incense.
Visit the vegetable and herb gardens back of the hotel building. Chef introduces the course, demonstrates his skills and artistry and then it is your turn, under his guidance, to prepare the dishes of the day. At noon, enjoy your own cooking efforts over lunch.

Day 6: Chaing Rai - Chiang Mai

Lunch at local restaurant. After lunch, transfer to check in at The Chedi, Chiang Mai, an elegant retreat offering all the pleasures of resort living in the heart of a historical city. Dinner at the hotel.
Day 7: Chiang Mai

This morning you will leave the hotel by air-conditioned vehicle for Chiang Dao (75 Kms. away), passing Mae Rim, Mae Taeng. Arrive Chiang Dao and continue to a Lahu hilltribe village and further (3 Kms.) to a Palong (Baan Pang Daeng) hilltribe village, new immigrants from Myanmar.
Lunch at a local restaurant.
Afternoon visit to the Maesa Elephant Camp for “Mahout Training Course” plus bathing with the elephants. This is a fantastic chance to get to know the real professional mahouts - find out what they do everyday for their elephants and learn the secrets of becoming a mahout.

Day 8: Chiang Mai - Koh Samui

Around 08.30 hrs, check out and transfer to Chiang Mai Airport for departure to Bangkok and connect flight to Koh Samui at Suvarnabhumi Airport. Estimated departure time from Bangkok to Koh Samui is 12.30 hrs. Around 13.40 hrs, arrive at Koh Samui Airport. You will be welcomed by a representative.

In the afternoon, you will be transferred by minivan with English speaking guide to “Lamai boxing school” Enjoy 30 minutes with Thai boxing show, and then learn the basic of Thai boxing. (1.30 hrs)

Today you will be transferred to “Angthong National Marine Park” by mini van. Then, take a private speed boat for snorkeling.Enjoy kayaking at leisure. Thai set lunch will be provided on board.
