"Just wanted to thank you. We are back from Costa Rica and had a wonderful trip. Everything worked really well, on time and we had really good time. Also, I wanted to comment on your contacts in Costa Rica- they were very responsive, helped solve problems on the spot and it was very reassuring to have them there."

  • Reviewer: Nita Duncan, 2009 located in Egypt & Ancient Lands

"For any single traveling woman - no fear! I, a single 61 year old female, traveled through Egypt & Jordan with absolutely no fear or concern for my safety. Not because I am brave but because there was no external cause for fear. The representatives who met me at the airports, the guides (especially Sam), and the drivers were all wonderful and very informative. The tour was first class and I would love to take another with Kinsington Tours and will recommend them to all my friends."

  • Reviewer: Marie, 2009 located in Asia

"We are back and we had a wonderful trip. Everything was perfectly organized, with the right balance between time with a guide and free time. We were very lucky with the weather, no rain at all except for a 20 minutes thunderstorm in Dalat. Halong Bay was very clear all the time although it is supposed to be foggy during the day. The Metropole was perfect, the best breakfasts ever, the boat, Jasmine, wonderful and we were only 14 people instead of 44…,the Palm Garden in Hoi An very nice, the Ana Mandara in Nha Trang, pure Heaven, the Sofitel in Dalat beautiful, almost empty and a very friendly staff."

Day 2 Canaima

Between the rainforest of the Amazon Basin and the watershed of the Orinoco River, is a rugged wall of remote mountains and deep, heavily forested canyons. This is Canaima National Park. Many of the mountains have precipitous rock walls that rise thousands of meters where they end in an almost perfectly flat top. These formations are known by their Indian name: Tepuis. Originally the tops of the tepuis were joined together in a vast continuous plateau that stretched over a large part of northern South America. Over time erosion carved steep-walled valleys and crevices into the plateau leaving fragments of it completely isolated. The region remains one of the most thinly settled and most beautiful of all natural areas in South America. From one of these Tepuis plummets the world's highest waterfall: Angel Falls (979 meters). The fall is more than twice as high as the Empire State Building and three times higher than the Eiffel Tower.

Day 3 Canaima

Board a dugout canoe at Canaima beach, and cross Canaima lagoon with impressive views of its seven waterfalls on shared half day morning excursion in the company of an Expert English speaking Guide. A short walk through savannah will bring you to a trail behind the impressive water curtain of Sapo falls - a truly exhilarating experience with a cliff to the right, roaring falls to the left, and water spray everywhere. Once on the other side of the curtain, continue walking to the top of the falls for a wonderful view of the Tepuy landscape before returning to Canaima beach. Since the volume of water in the falls depends on rainfall to a certain extent, it may have less water in the dry season.

In the afternoon, board a (shared) 4x4 vehicle, and in the company of an English speaking Guide you will be taken through the savannah to the port of Puerto Verde where you can board dugout canoes and navigate down the Carrao river. A short walk through the jungle will bring you to the beautiful Yuri waterfall. With time to relax at the pink sandy beach at the bottom of the fall, surrounded by the spectacular scenery of Canaima National Park, you can enjoy a refreshing bath before returning to Canaima.

Overnight at Waku Lodge (4*).

Day 4 Canaima

Enjoy a shared transfer between the Canaima airstrip and your lodge (or vice versa).

With a departure from Canaima airstrip, sit back and take in the stunning sights as you fly over the spectacular landscape of Canaima National Park. After about 20 minutes you'll enter the impressive Devil's Canyon, and soon you'll be able to see the highest waterfall on earth: Angel Falls. It was in 1935 when a stranger offered Jimmy Angel $5000 to fly him to an uncharted mountaintop in southern Venezuela, and the bush pilot, down on his luck, jumped at the chance. He flew his mysterious passenger to this mountaintop, and set up camp by a stream. In three days, they found 75 pounds of gold. Returning to Caracas, Mr. Angel lost contact with his passenger. Trying to return, but without his treasured guide, he fruitlessly scoured the vast wilderness for the golden stream. One day he crash landed on top of a 2400 meter high mountain. Two weeks later the exhausted adventurer emerged on foot, bearing with him knowledge of a secret the local Pemón Indians had guarded for centuries: Churún Merú, the world´s highest waterfall.
