The Red Rice Package tour is made for our valued clients to experience the western part of Bhutan, where culture and nature are rich and folks live a life cherished with happiness. This tour centers around the Red Rice growing region of Bhutan.

We’ll visit some of the country’s most scenic and picturesque valleys—Paro, Thimphu, Punakha, and Wangduephodrang enjoying Bhutanese architectural structures, capturing blooming wildflowers and rhododendrons in the spring, and enjoying weather perfect for soul searching in the autumn and winter. Our spring and fall itineraries will differ somewhat to take advantage of seasonal wonderments. Early spring and late fall, and winters are normally marked with crisp blue skies and sunny days. I've completely enjoyed my time in Bhutan. The trip would not have been as complete without the help from our guides. It was great how everyone was able to change plans as needed and also make special events happen seamlessly. I would definitely recommend the company to any one traveling into Bhutan. As well if I return I will use the company again, Thank you.

Our three man trek was exceptionally well organised and customised to our needs and schedule so that we saw the greatest variety of landscapes in the most effective time. Wangda is a fantastic guide and organiser with a terrific team. We felt like part of the family. The Bhutanese food was exceptional in its taste, presentation and nutritional balance. Thanks guys for a challenging trek and a wonderful, memorable experience.

I have known Wangda (Lakhor Tours Director)for over 10 years and have seen him develop his busines based upon principles of quality and customer service. His tours recognise and cater to the individual. Wangda has an extensive knowledge of the geography, history and culture of the country and a friendly but not 'in your face' approach to supporting his guests. I unreservedly recommend Lakhor tours for the experience of as lifetime.
