Lhasa, the ancient capital of the Tibetan kingdom, is a city unlike any other in the world. Tibetan Buddhist spirituality and a beautiful but harsh landscape, located at 3,650 meters (11,975 feet) above sea level—one of the highest cities on Earth—give Lhasa a richness that normally takes weeks to fully explore.

On this journey, explore the best of this remarkable city in a brief 4 days, during which you not only visit Lhasa's most sacred landmarks, but also travel to smaller monasteries and view Tibet's stunning scenery. For those with more time, we offer a longer variation of this journey, Soul of Tibet, which includes Lhasa and extends into other parts of Tibet.
