Take a walking tour of the capital's modern architecture which reflects the culturally and politically vibrant era of the mid-1900s.  Visit the city's palace and museum before enjoying an entertaining and enriching traditional performance of shadow puppetry and dance.

Itinerary

Day 1 - Phnom Penh Arrival (D)

Upon arrival at Phnom Penh International Airport, you will be greeted by your guide and transferred to your hotel right in the heart of the city. Relax and unwind post-flight as you get pampered with a rejuvenating traditional Khmer massage at Bodia Spa. This evening, indulge yourself in a delicious Khmer Welcome Dinner at one of Phnom Penh's best restaurants.

Day 2 - Phnom Penh (B,L,D)

After breakfast at the hotel, depart on a Khmer Architecture walking tour that will take you on a fascinating discovery of Cambodian architecture from the late 1950s and 1960s, a culturally and politically vibrant time. After lunch, visit the remarkable National Museum and Grand Palace for further understanding of the Kingdom's illustrious history. Dine for a cause this evening with a fabulous meal at a charity-run restaurant and enjoy a traditional puppetry and dance performance.

Day 3 - Phnom Penh - Battambang (B,D)

Sit back and enjoy the scenery along the drive to Battambang this morning.  After checking in at your hotel and freshening up, spend your afternoon observing and interacting with local craftspeople of the area.  Visit a cultural village and learn how local products are made. Finish the afternoon with a ride on the bamboo train before enjoying dinner at the authentic Smoking Pot Restaurant.

Day 4 - Battambang - Siem Reap (B,L,D)

Today, you will embark on one of the most stunning boat trips in Cambodia, as you will be taken from Battambang to Siem Reap by a comfortable private boat.  Your journey follows the waterways of the Stung Sangker River and on into the Tonle Sap Lake.  Arrive Siem Reap mid afternoon and enjoy some time at leisure before visiting the Angkor National Museum.

This evening, enjoy an Asian-inspired French meal at Abacus Restaurant in a beautiful garden setting.

Day 5 - Siem Reap (B,L)

Learn more about Khmer cuisine with a half day cooking course.  Under the guidance of a trained chef, visit the local market, buy traditional ingredients, and try your hand at preparing a variety of dishes.  After feasting on your creations, visit the enigmatic temples of Ta Phrom and Bayon as well as the smaller, but equally impressive, Banteay Kdei and Srah Srang.

Day 6 - Siem Reap (B,L,D)

Experience the unique lifestyle of the rural Cambodians with a boat trip through the floating village of Kampong Phluck and an excursion to the countryside. Enjoy sights of the flooded forests, floating houses, and rural scenes of oxcarts and rice fields. Visit crafts workshops and the silk center.  This afternoon visit the legendary Angkor Wat from where you will enjoy the sun setting over the plains of Angkor.   

 

Day 7 - Siem Reap Departure (B)

After breakfast, enjoy some time at leisure until the transfer to the airport for your individual departure flight
