A visit to the beautiful medieval city of Padua.Walk through the
outdoor markets with a visit to the Palazzo della Raggione, the Romanesque
Baptistry with fourteenth century frescoes by Giusto de’Menabuoi, and the sixteenth century
anatomy theater in the Palazzo del Bo (one of the oldest universities in Europe)
Lunch in a traditional osteria in the old jewish quarters.
Visit the Basilica di Sant’ Antonio and walk through the oldest botanical
garden of Europe. Visit the Eremitami church with its celebrated frescoes ofMantegna,
destroyed during the bombings ofWWII, with final destination at the
Scrovegni Chapel with its luminous frescoes of the great Florentine artist, Giotto
Dinner at accommodation
Day 3
Breakfast
Visit the famous Palladian Villa Rotonda.
Walk on a quiet country road leading to Villa Valmarana Nani
where we will meet the Contessa and her husband.
Apèritif and lunch
Visit the UNESCO protected Palladian city of Vicenza with a guided
visit to the Teatro Olimipico and tour of the Contrà Porti (local dialect for street or district)
with some of the most elegant palazzi in Vicenza.

Asolo and the surrounding areas.
Visit the house and workshop museum of Venetian sculptor Antonio Canova.

Dinner at a private fifteenth century villa near Asolo.
