Itinerary
Day 1: Saturday
Arrive in Geneva and meet your Epic host / guide. Van transfer to Chamonix (1 hr). Check into your hotel, review gear needs, and meet UIAGM mountain guide. Dinner at the hotel.
Day 2 (Sun):
We’ll head to Grands Montets to get a lay of the land in the massive Chamonix Valley for off-piste runs down to the Argentiére Glacier. A primer on glacier travel and crevasse. Massage or spa back at the hotel before dinner in Chamonix at a gastro restaurant.
Day 3 (Mon):
Ski off the Aiguille du Midi Tram: Col de Plan, the Vallée Blanche, or even an extreme descent like the Couloir Cosmiques. Time-permitting we’ll make a second lap, then head to the Chambre Neuf for Cham’s ultimate après-ski. Dinner at the Micro-Brasserie, Chamonix.
Day 4 (Tue):
Ski-tour from one of the satellite areas: Flêgéres, Vallorcine, or Le Tour. Afternoon in hotel spa. Dinner in Chamonix.
Day 5 (Wed):
Ski Brevent: steep skiing playground. Possible tour off the back to Buet. Afternoon in hotel spa. Dinner at hotel or in Chamonix.
Day 6 (Thu):
We’ll change locations today, skiing to Italy and moving to Courmayeur for the rest of the trip. After a trip up the Aiguille du Midi, we’ll skin across the top of the Vallée Blanche to the Toula Glacier, dropping in on Courmayeur’s Monte Bianco area, accessed by the Heilbronner trams. Lunch at the mid-mountain rifugio. Your gear and luggage will be waiting for you at the hotel, dinner at an award-winning Slow Food restaurant.
Day 7 (Fri):
Today we’ll head up the main resort of Courmayeur, skiing the Arp and the Dolonne trams and their epic backcountry. Lunch at Maison Vielle, a rustic mountain hut with the best food in the Alps. After skiing, head to Terme Pre-St. Didier for a spa experience favored by Italian royalty. Dinner at another epic Courmayeur restaurant.
Day 8 (Sat):
We’ll head to Valgrisenche for a day of heliskiing with a stunning view of Mt. Blanc, or as they say in Italy, Monte Bianco. Long, lazy powder runs will feel great after the adrenaline rush of the past days. Apres ski at the Bar de Poste along Courmayeur’s chic Via Roma. Dinner at La Clotze with our friends who own it.
Day 9: Sunday Check out of Courmayeur hotel, private van transfer to Geneva Cointrin Airport.
