Guizhou province’s isolation and history as a remote backwater—one still relatively untouched by modern tourism—has made it one of the best kept secrets in southwest China. It has no shortage of breathtaking landscapes, characterized by limestone karst hills, vast mountain valleys, terraced rice fields, imposing cave features and cascading waterfalls. And yet, the real highlight of Guizhou is its rich ethnic minority culture.
On this immersion experience, we travel through the heartland of Guizhou's enchanting, rural backcountry. We embark on a close-up exploration of several ethnic minority communities, interacting with local villagers through lively welcome rituals, local family meals and a village homestay. It's a celebration of color and culture only found in Guizhou, seldom seen by outsiders.
