Itinerary

No need to drive all the way to Tuscany to experience this phenomena first hand, our day trip to the Castelli Romani is sure to please your palate while you take a break from the hustle and bustle of touring Rome! Departing from Rome at approximately 11:30 AM, our mercedes sedan or Viano van and driver will accompany you on a private tour South of Rome towards the Castelli Romani wine region. Along the way we travel down the Appian Way, the historic pass where according to history and legend St. Peter had a vision of Jesus who convinced him to return to Rome to his martyrdom.

Once outside Rome we arrive in the historic winemaking town of Frascati, for a visit to a family run vineyard and agriturismo producing Frascati doc superiore, red wine, olive oil, and other local specialties. You will be guided on a visit to the wine cellar, the production area, and the grounds.

After the tasting of the various wines, you will be free to have a seat in the dining area or outisde on the terrace for a full lunch prepared with local ingredients.

After lunch you will have a chance to further explore the grounds, even have a swim in the pool during the warmer months, and purchase any wines you might wish to take home with you. From here the half day tour concludes and we would begin the journey back to your hotel. If you wish, time can be added on to this tour in order to explore the center of Frascati, the Lake Albano and town of Castelgandolfo, or to add an additional winery vist.
