Bergen
Embark on an excursion through some of the most magnificent scenery in western Norway. First, travel on the Flåm Railway, the steepest railway line in Northern Europe. Marvel at waterfalls, mountainsides and lush river valleys as you descend toward the Aurland Fjord. Then take a cruise through the narrowest fjord in Norway, the Nærøyfjord. On your way back to Bergen, travel by bus through the breath-taking scenery of winding mountain roads. (B)

Savor a day at leisure in Bergen. Perhaps take a ride on the Fløibanen funicular, to the top of Mount Fløien. From the summit, marvel at the view of Bergen and the surrounding fjords. In the early evening, take a private transfer to the Hurtigruten port, where you board your ship and begin your cruise. Hurtigruten [ships will vary] (Mini-Suite) – 6-nights (B)

Day 4
Alesund / Geraingerfjord / Molde / Kristiansund
Wake up to the beauty of Norway as your ship heads for Torvik. Stop in the beautiful Art Nouveau town of Alesund. Between April 15 and September 14, all ships call at Geiranger in the Geirangerfjord, a UNESCO World Heritage site, to see the beautiful Brudesloret, Friaren, and the Seven Sisters Waterfalls. After a stop at Molde, pass through the Hustadvika, before docking at Kristiansund. (B, L, D)

Day 5
Trondheim
Arrive early this morning in ancient Trondheim, where you can walk its charming streets, sit by the harbor or cross the old city bridge to see the restored buildings in Bakklandet. Don’t miss the great gothic cathedral of Nidaros, where the kings of old Norway once received their official blessing. Board your ship again for Rorvik. (B, L, D)

Day 6
Lofotr
Cross the Arctic Circle as you sail past the island of Vikingen. Cruise by islands filled with rock formations, cabins on stilts and wooden racks for drying cod. This evening, dock in Stamsund and travel back in time to the Lofotr Viking Museum. After learning about the Vikings, the chieftain and the lady of the house welcome you to join them for a Viking feast, with traditional food, costumes, singing and dancing in authentic surroundings. After the meal, return to your ship. (B, L, D)
