Croatia has 1185 island of which 66 are inhabited. Elaphite islands are the most southern and among the most beautiful islands. Situated near Dubrovnik, sometimes called Dubrovnik archipelago, Elaphite islands are a blend of great nature, culture and friendly local people. Green protected nature parks are ideal for walking almost year around, which is due to the mild Mediterranean climate and good ferry connection with Dubrovnik. Pathways are easy to moderate, offering great landscapes and views over the green islands, scenic Adriatic coastline and crystal clear sea that will enchant you. The pathways of Elaphite islands – Lopud, Sipan and Kolocep take you along the scenic coastline, historical sights with Preromanesque chapels, charming fishing villages, olive and orange grows, vineyards, forest, steep cliffs, caves and coves. Two islands, Lopud and Kolocep are traffic free, there is no industry and the air is clean full of lovely Mediterranean odors (rosemary, lavender, sage, pine fennel).Visit to local farm and meeting local people and tasting local food, mainly home grown is one of the highlights of this tour.
