Itinerary
Days 1 / 2 / 3 ~ Laikipia~ Lewa Safari Camp
Upon arrival in Nairobi you will then board your connecting scheduled flight to Lewa Airstrip at the base of Mt Kenya. When your flight lands, you will be greeted by a guide who will transfer you to Lewa Safari Camp. (approximately 40 minutes, depending on how much game is seen)
As your plane climbs away from Nairobi, you’ll see the Aberdere Mountains creating the escarpment to the Great Rift Valley. The dense farming areas become more spread out, the landscape more arid. Mt. Kenya may be visible on your right. Soon you are touching down in the spectacular setting of the Kenya Highlands and Lewa Downs.
As one of Kenya's major private conservation successes, Lewa Downs has been the Craig family home since 1924 when the Craig grandparents came from England and began raising cattle here. "Leave room for the wildlife" has been the Craig ethic, as the area is committed to the conservation of wildlife and diverse habitats found on the northern slopes of Mt Kenya. Endangered species abound in the Lewa Wildlife Conservancy, most famous around the world for their rhino conservation. The conservancy is home to about 10 percent of Kenya's black rhino population, and the single largest population of Grevy's zebra in the world. Lewa re-invests all the profits generated from tourism into its core conservation programs. This means that when you visit Lewa, you will help thousands of people from different backgrounds and cultures to improve their lives, and give their children a future, at the same time as ensuring Africa's wildlife has a stable home.

Days 4 / 5 / 6 ~ Maasai mara ~ elephant pepper camp
Today you will board a short flight from Shaba to the Mara Shikar airstrip. Your guide will be waiting to transfer you, with game drive en route, to Elephant Pepper Camp.
The Maasai Mara is Kenya’s most famous nature reserve, and one of the settings for the film Out of Africa. It is classic savannah – grasslands, where animals are plentiful and the vistas spectacular. In this dreamlike land, animals live in freedom, and the Maasai tend their cattle. The area, also known as the “Jewel of Africa,” has one of the largest and the most spectacular animal migrations in the world. The reserve is known for its large wildlife, including lion, cheetah, elephant, leopard, black rhino and hippo.
The camp has won a Bronze rating from the Eco Society of Kenya and all guides in the camp are Bronze level or higher.
