Itinerary

Day 1: London Heathrow to Delhi
Take your over-night flight (flight supplementary to the tour) arriving in Delhi in the early hours. On arrival transfer to the hotel for immediate check-in.
2 nights at the Ramada Plaza Hotel (Standard Room). Breakfast included.

Day 2: Delhi
Enjoy a sightseeing tour of Old Delhi in the morning including a drive past the magnificent Red Fort from the Mughal Empire and a stop at the Jama Masjid, one of Asia's largest mosques. Take a cycle rickshaw ride through the atmospheric and chaotic streets. In New Delhi you'll see Humayun's tomb, which inspired the Taj Mahal, as well as the imposing India Gate, Parliament building and the President's residence Rashtrapati Bhawan. Also visit the Qtab Minar, the tallest stone tower in India.

Day 3: Delhi - Ranthambore
Travel by train and car to Ranthambore National Park, Rajasthan's home of the tiger. Enjoy an afternoon game drive in the park.
2 nights at the Nahargarh Fort (Standard Room). Full Board.

Day 4: Ranthambore
Enjoy morning and evening game drives in the National Park, an area of forest laced with a network of lakes and rivers, all surrounding a 10th-century fort frequented by tigers, leopards and sloth bears.

Day 5: Ranthambore to Shahpura
Following a final morning game drive in the park, continue to Shahpura Bagh, a unique, tranquil and idyllic resort, once the summer residence of the rulers of Shahpura. The surrounding wetlands are a birdwatcher's paradise; here, you can while away the hours in the sun or go for a leisurely ramble on the wetlands.
1night at Shahpura Bagh (Deluxe Room). Breakfast included.

Day 6: Shahpura to Udaipur
After a morning at leisure, you'll journey to Udaipur.
2 nights at the Udai Kothi (Deluxe Room). Breakfast included.

Day 7: Udaipur
Enjoy sightseeing in Rajasthan's most romantic city, where you'll discover the City Palace, the 17th century Jagdish Temple and the Garden of the Maidens; this beautiful garden, adorned with luscious pools, fountains and plants, was once the relaxing spot for royal ladies. Enjoy a boat ride in the evening on the placid waters of Lake Pichola whilst cruising past the famous Lake Palace Hotel.

Day 8: Udaipur to Jodhpur
This morning travel to Jodhpur. The afternoon is at leisure.
2 nights at the Ajit Bhawan (Executive Room). Breakfast included.

Day 9: Jodhpur
Enjoy an excursion to a Bishnoi village in the morning, the rustic home to a 450 year-old tribe with a distinctive way of life. In the afternoon, 15th-century Mehrangarh Fort awaits; this daunting structure is so vast it holds numerous palaces, as well as being an amazing vantage point for views over the blue city. Finish your sightseeing at Jaswant Thada, the white marble memorial to the Maharajas of Jodhpur; so thin in places that the walls appear translucent.

Day 10: Jodhpur to Nimaj
Travel this morning to Chhatra Sagar Camp at Nimaj. Situated on a dam, this comfortable and beautiful fixed camp offers spectatcular views of sunrise, sunset and the Aravali range (the oldest mountain range in the world) on the horizon.
1 night at Chattrasagar (Tent). Full Board.

Day 11: Day 11: Nimaj to Jaipur
Travel to Jaipur this morning and enjoy the afternoon at leisure to stroll through the bazaars.
2 nights at the Samode Haveli (Deluxe Room). Breakfast included.

Day 12: Jaipur
Enjoy a visit to the 16th century Amber Fort in the morning. The top of the elaborate fort, and its gardens, can be reached by riding on elephants (subject to availablity) while soaking in the timeless beauty of Rajasthan. In the afternoon, enjoy sightseeing in the city driving though the famous Johari Bazaar to the striking Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds), City Palace and Jantar Mantar astronomical observatory.

Day 13: Jaipur to Agra
Travel to Agra, visiting the deserted and remarkably preserved, 16th-century city of Fatehpur Sikri en route.
1 night at The Trident Hotel (Deluxe Garden View Room). Breakfast included.

Day 14: Agra to Delhi
The Taj Mahal is one of the wonders of the world and is arguably at its ethereal best at sunrise when you will make your visit. We'll then head into the city for a spot of sightseeing, which will include Agra Fort and the Tomb of Itmad Ud Daula. In the aftenoon drive to Delhi to connect with your flight home departing in th early hours of Day 15.

Day 15: Delhi to London Heathrow
Fly home from Delhi (flight supplementary to the tour price).
