This was a most memorable trip for both of us. We would highly recommend Hamanasi Resort and the diversity of adventure excursions offered there to anyone that is looking for a more adventurous vacation. Our guides were very enthusiastic and they had a wealth of knowledge about the natural history of Belize. Our guides were able to satisfy our curiosity on just about any topic - birds, tropical plants, native wildlife, etc. The hikes were challenging yet immensely rewarding. Belize is an amazing country with friendly people that are enthusiastic to share it with visitors. Thanks for the wonderful experience!

What an easy vacation! All the details were taken care of. Hamanasi was way above our expectations. The atmosphere was very relaxed and the staff was excellent. The day tours were exceptional with a superb variety of things to do. Each of us had a different favorite activity! This is one of the nicest organized vacations we've been on. We'd recommend this to everyone!

Itinerary
Day 1 Arrive Hamanasi (D) lodgeArrive Belize City and fly directly to Dangriga where you'll be met and transferred to Hamanasi, your home for the next week. Check into your treehouse bungalow or seaside room, then spend the evening falling into the easy rhythm of Belize!
Days 2-5 Marine and Inland Adventures (4B,4L,4D) lodge
Rise early to begin your Belizean adventures or just sleep in and enjoy a little tropical tranquility. Whatever you do, the choice is yours! With 5 optional excursions (see accommodations) included, your days at Hamanasi can be filled with inland and marine adventures. Excursions include snorkeling, exploring the surrounding jungle and Maya ruins, river canoeing and caving!
The snorkeling and diving trips (see accommodations) take you to the second largest coral reef in the world. From your underwater vantage point you'll swim alongside hundreds of rainbow-hued fish, corals and sponges. Atoll and whale shark diving "upgrades" are also possible for scuba enthusiasts looking for more variety or wanting to dive renowned sites like the Blue Hole and Glover's Reef Atoll.
On your inland adventures, you can explore Belize's lush interior rainforest, Maya ruins, rivers, and caves. One trip includes visits to the ruins of Xunantunich and Cahel Pech where the ancient Maya once held their royal courts. Another excursion takes you hiking and river tubing in the lush Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Sanctuary and Jaguar Preserve. Another day trip takes you to hidden waterfalls, and to Blue Hole National Park, with its mile-long St. Herman's Cave.
Keep in mind that with 17 beautifully landscaped acres, a swimming pool, and 400 feet of Caribbean beachfront at Hamanasi, you may choose to simply spend the days relaxing in a hammock or wandering the grounds! Be sure to save time for a stroll through the nearby traditional fishing village of Hopkins, where the Garifuna speaking residents still continue their ancestral customs.
Day 6 Return Home (B)
Transfer to the Dangriga airport to catch your short flight to Belize City and onward.
