Alaska Wildland Adventures' new wilderness seacoast lodge, surrounded by Kenai Fjords National Park, is the only lodge located within the park. From this spectacular setting on the shore of a protected lagoon in full view of Pedersen Glacier, wildlife viewing opportunities abound as do activity choices. The lodge and guest cabins reside within the Native-owned, 1,700-acre Pedersen Lagoon Wildlife Sanctuary. Each comfortably appointed log cabin features a private bath and view of the lagoon. As at all AWA locations wilderness fine dining is a highlight at the lodge.

Lodge activities include sea kayaking on protected waters (from short paddles to half-day trips), hiking (from interpretive walks to beach combing), group canoe explorations and more. Each day, choose the activities that match your interest and energy level. The lodge is a great place to explore and a prime setting for relaxing with a view. On the four to five hour boat journey to the lodge, it's common to see Steller sea lions, sea otters, Dall's porpoises, humpback and/or orca whales, bald eagles, puffins and a myriad of other birdlife.

At the lodge, wildlife opportunities abound. Keep a keen eye for harbor seals, sea and river otters, mountain goats, black bears, bald eagles and a multitude of birds. All-inclusive wilderness lodge packages range from two to four or more days. (At least three days are recommended to make the most of this pristine setting.) Daily access to the lodge is possible most every day of the summer!

Your staff exudes the spirit of the area and it breeds excitement, and their enthusiasm is contagious. Of course the surroundings are the attraction, but without your staff this experience would never have been the same! I hope to see you all again…soon!
