OUR NETWORK

Not including part-time guides, Trails of Indochina employs around 250 staff throughout the region.  Headquartered in Ho Chi Minh City, we have our own operations offices in the central Vietnamese city of Hue, in Vietnam’s capital, Hanoi, and in Cambodia, Thailand, Laos, Myanmar, China and Bali. We also have representative offices in the United States, Australia, Mexico, India, Spain and Brazil.

Trails of Indochina’s Founder, Mr. Nguyen John (Tue), has 16 years of experience in the travel industry. A graduate of the Tourism Management Institute in Hue, Mr. Nguyen holds an MBA from Henley in the United Kingdom. He is fluent in Vietnamese, English and French.

TAILOR-MADE TRAVEL

Customization is the backbone of our business. Whether catering for small groups of photographers, war veterans wishing to revisit battle sites alongside former foes, or large corporate groups wanting to hold team-building exercises in an exotic local, Trails of Indochina offers tailored experiences with 5 showcased categories: Inside Trails allows guests to get ‘beneath’ the surface of our destinations, taking them to unique locations and behind the scenes access to galleries, kitchens and more; Expert Trails introduces guests to experts in their field such as historians, archeologists, artists and chefs allowing further insight to the destinations; Gourmet Trails offers gastronomic interactions to experience the best of local cuisine; Building Trails empowers travellers with the unique opportunity to help local underprivileged communities, leaving more than just a footprint from their holiday; Finally, Access Trails offers once in a lifetime experiences such as access to private jets, helicopter tours and transfers, private dinners by candlelight on ancient temple grounds with white glove service.

The travel services we offer are as varied as our customers’ interests and imaginations, ranging from culinary tours to humanitarian experience. When 80 members of the World Presidents Organization (WPO) - a United States business association for company leaders - visited Vietnam in 2004 we chartered the former Presidential Palace in Ho Chi Minh City and recreated a traditional handicraft village in the palace’s grounds, complete with calligraphers, woodcarvers and food hawkers. We also organized a series of lectures and cultural shows for 120 members of another United States business forum, CEO, in 2003. We are looking forward to welcoming this group back to Vietnam in 2006.

The Smithsonian Museum, meanwhile, hires us to arrange cultural tours and meetings with academics, artists, etc. Small groups receive equal care, whether they wish to meditate with monks in an ancient pagoda, bike through fruit orchards and paddy fields in the Mekong Delta, trek to remote highland villages, or learn traditional court recipes from a descendant of Vietnam’s last dynasty.

“My husband and I recently travelled to Vietnam and Cambodia with another couple from the 25th December 2011 and returned on the 15th January 2012. We wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed the tour and the experience. We would especially like to commend our tour guide in Hue and Hoi An, Tony who was absolutely marvelous. He could not do enough for us and he was very informative and very helpful. Also Sin in Siem Reap was fantastic as well as Mai Fam in Sapa. The experience of Vietnam was so enjoyable and your tour was so professional that we have recommended you to all our friends and I am sure they will follow our lead and travel with your company. Thank you again.”

“We would like to express our thanks to your company for a really wonderful holiday in Vietnam. Every aspect of it was just perfect. Ms Moon Tran made the arrangements very quickly, always answering every question and request with no delay, and making every effort to give us exactly what we wanted. Her judgment on the right hotels was perfect. The guides and drivers were wonderfully helpful. We particularly want to mention Mr Nguyen Viet Tran in Hue and Hoi An and Ms Pham Anh Ngoc in Ho Chi Minh City. They were amazing, so enthusiastic, helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. We have come back to Australia just singing your praises, and urging our friends to use your company for their holidays too. And of course we fell in love with Vietnam. Many thanks to you all.”
