Nancy, Robson and I just returned yesterday from the Family Adventure trip in the Bugaboos. The food was the best I have ever experienced, the guiding team was bang on with the adventures planned for the kids and the adults, and all the staff in the house were interested and engaged with the guests. There were 14 kids at the Lodge, and everyone got along great. Sue, Janette and Christine, the Leaders for the Kids, made the trip magical for all, creating memories that our guests will have for a lifetime. I have never seen a group of guests and staff gel so easily. There were 3 guests 88-90 years old, and they had tears in their eyes when they were flown to the Alpine to experience the trip their kids, grand kids and great grand kids were enjoying. Thanks to CMH for having us at the Bugaboos. Our family has memories that will last forever.

It was all perfect beyond all expectations. The staff working with the children was extraordinary - superbly organized, creative, caring, fun - everything the guides had raved about last year when we were wondering about the possibility of a family week. Each age group of kids had an unforgetable experience: they had a blast and they learned a lot - and hopefully they will be excited about mountains, hiking, climbing and nature for the rest of their lives. And they loved the games at the lodges! We were very aware of the extra personnel and helicopter resources assigned to children, and immensely grateful that CMH could manage it all so flawlessly. We were also aware that getting so many details so exactly right reflects great management depth and skill, and we tried to express this to both Gary and Dave as well as the individual guides and staff. We are tellling a lot of people about CMH. Thanks again for making it all possible! The only questions is how soon we can manage to come back.

Itinerary
Located deep in the Canadian Rockies and only accessible by helicopter, CMH Summer Adventures' Family Adventures are sure to dazzle and thrill kids of all ages.
Day 1: Journey from Banff National Park to our helicopter staging area in the Columbia Valley of British Columbia. After an exhilarating helicopter flight into the lodge get settled into your room. Following a hearty lunch and a helicopter safety talk from the pilot, fly out for an afternoon of adventure amid the granite peaks and flowering meadows. Return to the lodge in late afternoon for 'apres hiking' snacks and beverages and a chance to unwind before dinner.
Day 2 & 3: An optional stretch class is a nice way to start the day. Breakfast is served at 8:00 followed by helicopter flights out into the mountains. The younger set have the chance to hike with CMH's Kid Specialists, or Facilitators of Fun, as we like to call them while parents can hike at their own pace with other like-minded adults. Return to the lodge for late afternoon snacks and maybe a water-balloon fight on the lawn, a dip in the pond or a chance on the indoor climbing wall. An early 'build your own' dinner is available for the children while the adults enjoy CMH's typical fine-dining fare at a later hour. In the evening, relax by the fireplace or in the hot tub or partake in some family games and activities.
Day 4: After a hearty breakfast it is time to pack up and say goodbye. Retrace your journey through the mountains of Western Canada to the Calgary International Airport for your flight home.
