Welcome to the White Stallion Ranch, where the pavement ends and the west begins.  This beautiful, picture-perfect Southwest ranch has been serving guests since the 1940s and is currently operating under the same family ownership since 1965.  The True family, now developing its third generation of ranchers, is renowned for their genuine hospitality and excellent customer service.  Vacations at the White Stallion provide memories that last a lifetime and guests return year after year.
The ranch is located on 3,000 acres of pristine Sonoran desert adjacent to the Saguaro National Park.  Trail rides and guided hikes frequently traverse the park trails and provide access to the park that otherwise is not available.  Once away from the ranch headquarters, you can imagine the West as it was in your favorite western movies and TV shows.  The ranch has been the location for many of these films, and perhaps views of Safford and Panther Peak may look familiar.
The ranch offers an exceptional riding program intended to meet the expectations of all types of riders.  There are over 120 horses and Russell True, ranch owner, has an uncanny knack of matching guests to the perfect horse. Every day except Sunday, there are scenic walk rides, some flat and some mountainous and more adventurous rides with loping.  If a guest rode every ride offered, they could be in the saddle more than six hours a day.  Specialty rides include Half-day excursions, All Day outings with a sack lunch twice a week, and an adult only Wine and Cheese ride.  The most popular event is Team Cattle Penning.  This fun activity takes place in the arena where a group of steers are rounded up and driven into a designated pen.  This is a timed activity and the competition is keen.  Riding lessons are offered daily at an additional charge.   Frequently there are natural horsemanship demonstrations. . If riding a horse is not really your thing, there is a pleasant horse-drawn hayride to our Wednesday lunch cookout.  Plus, guests are always welcome at the corral to help with grooming and general barn chores.
Comfort is a ranch priority and you will find all of our 41 rooms inviting and cozy.  A Southwestern motif prevails throughout the ranch.  Rates vary with the room size. All rooms are constantly renovated and updated and some have fireplaces or whirlpool baths. All have individual heat and air as well as private patios.  They include robes, refrigerators, in-room safes, and hair dryers.  Many of the rooms can accommodate a family of four or five.  There are no TVs or telephones in the rooms on purpose.  You will find the absence of these distractions enhance the quality of your vacation experience with family and friends.
There are several public areas that are perfect for socializing.  The main lodge has a full bar and dining area, although considering how outstanding the Arizona weather is, most meals are eaten on the patio in the sunshine.  The recreation room is a favorite gathering place in the evening with its movie theater and cable TV. A childrens playground is adjacent to the recreation building.   There are several evening programs during the week including a cowboy singer, country/western dance lessons, nature program, etc.   A ranch rodeo takes place Saturday afternoon with team roping, barrel racing, steer wrestling and break-away roping accompanied by a knowledgeable narration about rodeo history.
There is a heated pool with lots of comfortable shaded and sunny seating, an indoor redwood hot tub and a modern fitness center with exercise room, sauna and massage therapy.  The gift shop is outstanding and eliminates any need to leave the ranch for souvenir shopping.  Complimentary wi-fi is available throughout and there is good cell phone coverage. There is also a guest business center with computers, printers and telephones.
Meals are a highlight at White Stallion.  The day begins with a continental breakfast for the early or late riser followed by a Cooked-to-order breakfast.  An abundant buffet lunch includes a main entree, salad bar and sandwich platter plus plenty of home-made cookies.  Happy Hour snacks are served at 6:00pm with dinner served at 7:00pm.  Often dinner comes right off the grill.  Dinners are all-you-can-eat and delicious.  Special dietary requirements can be accommodated as well as gluten-free restrictions.
Corporate retreats find our Longhorn Meeting Center perfect for a productive meeting.  This 2,600 sq. ft. facility has all the necessary electrical hook ups, sound resources and lighting needs for any type of event. Our all-inclusive pricing makes event planning simple and practical.
White Stallion is not just trail dust and sunshine.  We truly have something for anyone that is seeking a rejuvenating and memorable vacation.  You can do as much or as little to create the perfect getaway experience.  We look forward to welcoming you into our home and including you in our ranch family.
