"We just returned from the best family vacation ever; a family dude ranch in Colorado.  It is my goal to make sure each of you takes your family to this ranch before the kids are too old."  This is from a past Tumbling River Ranch guest and a President of a world-wide travel company!  Tumbling River  Ranch is a second generation, family owned and run central CO dude ranch.  Started in 1940, the ranch is full of history, tradition and excitement!
Tumbling River offers splendid accommodations with fireplaces, private baths and big outdoor porches in our charming cabins or historic ranch houses. Everything you could want for a perfect family vacation - gentle, good-natured horses, great childrens, teens and nannies programs, terrific fishing, white water rafting and miles of unspoiled mountain beauty. Pool, hot tubs, evening activities, overnight pack trip and lots of live music. Easy access - only an hour from Denver. Reduced rates for kids and adults in June and September. Weddings September 1st thru November 1st.  Owned and operated by Megan and Scott Dugan. Come experience our friendly staff, exciting activities and great family memories.

Itinerary

Ranch Dining

Everything here is home cooked, we make our own breads and desserts. All you can eat, dinners will feature beef or pork tenderloin, grilled chicken, and barbeque ribs. Cookouts... you haven't lived until you've ridden several hours up to a mountain meadow and smelled coffee brewing and bacon cooking. We cater to any eating style or dietary need.  One of the week's highlights is the candlelight dinner. Kids have a fun outdoor cookout while you feast in splendor. Beer and wine service is included.

Ranch Activities

Each morning, in addition to horseback riding, a selection of activities is offered: Fishing, Hiking, Trap Shooting, Music & Evening Entertainment, Square Dance, Swimming Pool, Recreation Room, Yard Games, Hayride, Hot Tubs/Massage therapy, Rodeo, Ranch Animals, Sightseeing, Vehicle Tours, Rafting, Golf and more! The hardest thing you will need to do is choose!

Ranch Lodging

The Ranch House and Pueblo House were built in the 1920's.  The five story Ranch House, accommodates the main dining room, kitchen, large living room, lounge room, and five suites (each with fireplace and private bath.) Around the Ranch House are half a dozen cabins. The cabins vary in size, but typically each has two separate or adjoining suites. Each suite has a private bath, fireplace and front porch complete with a swing. The Pueblo has seven bedrooms and is perfect for a family gathering.
