Our motto "For The Best Week of Your Year" says it all. Located 10 miles from the Continental Divide and adjacent to the Gunnison National Forest, Waunita is the site of Colorado's hottest springs, allowing us not only water for our 35x90 ft. swimming pool, but also heat and domestic hot water for all buildings. The ranch program features riding on different trails each day, from meadows for loping to spectacular above-timberline scenery. Fishing available on the ranch and at nearby streams, beaver ponds and lakes. Other activities include a raft or float trip, hiking, three cookouts at different forest locations, overnight campout, hayride, square dancing, scenic van trips, Western music show, volleyball, mountain biking, trap shooting and horseshoes. Our supervised children's program and petting zoo are favorites with the younger crowd. Meals are plentiful and wholesome, plus we are happy to accommodate special diets. Massages available at an extra charge. The Pringle family has owned and operated the ranch for 49+ years and three generations are here to greet guests. And our lodge accommodations are convenient, comfortable and charming. Laundry facilities are available for guests. During the 2010 summer season we had a 76% return/direct referral rate. Between October and April we cater to B&B guests, groups for skiing, snowmobiling, meetings, and retreats. Our all-inclusive rate includes everything except tax and optional gratuity. Come and enjoy our quiet and beautiful corner of the Colorado mountains!

Itinerary
Ranch Dining
Ranch meals are cooked "to order" at breakfast, with most lunches and dinners served buffet-style. We feature fresh fruits and vegetables, along with a variety of meats and made-from-scratch breads. Desserts are yummy. And snacks of cookies, fruit and juices are available between meals. The breakfast, dinner and brunch cookouts at our forest camps are special events.
Ranch Activities
Guests are assigned their own well-trained horse for the week. We feature instruction in the arena and on the trails. We ride different trails each day, with most trails in the Gunnison National Forest. Other activities include lake & stream fishing, a raft or float trip, swimming in our huge warm pool, scenic van trips, trap shooting, hayride & marshmallow roast, square dancing, a game night, live Western music show, volleyball, mtn bikes & horseshoes. Special children's activities too!
Ranch Lodging
All accommodations are located in two ranch houses. The main ranch house includes the dining room, library, pool table, sitting areas and two fireplaces. Each guest unit has a private bath. Mom & Dad rooms have comfortable queen beds, with bunks in adjacent or next-door rooms for the kids. The Western/Country decor compliments our mountain location.
