Seeking a place of quiet solitude in a remote wilderness of Montana?  We have just the place for you!  Located in a million acres of pristine wilderness just north of Yellowstone Park, you can enjoy exhilarating mountain experiences and warm hospitality in a remote, absolutely beautiful part of the world.  Unique activities offered are horseback riding to explore beautiful mountain terrain surrounding the ranch, flyfishing on a mile of private river frontage is "as good as it gets", and hiking to remote scenic places may interest you.  A 4x4 truck ride to a ghost town with lots of gold mining history is definetely a "must do!" A scenic boat float on the Yellowstone River gives you a more relaxing day of exploration and water fun.  Traditional "cowboy" cookouts and campfires are a perfect way to end the day, enjoying good food and fellowship. Our small capacity of 20 guests per week allows you to receive that personalized family-style interaction from staff, owners, and other guests.  At the end of the week you'll take away lasting memories and life-time friendships.  Guests keep coming back year after year with comments like..unforgettable week, expectations surpassed, generosity, authencity, and it's like "coming home to a place you've never been before."

Itinerary

Ranch Dining

Hearty meals are served buffet-style three times daily in the lodge.  Homemade cuisine takes care of those hunger pains from the outdoors activities.  Two cookouts during the week, saddle bag lunches on the longer rides and hikes, as well as the tummy-filling meals from the kitchen keep guests full and happy.  Waking up to the smells of bacon and coffee is a great way to start the day!

Ranch Activities

Activities provide for a busy exciting week of fun.  Explore beautiful mountain trails from the back of a horse.  Horses suited to all levels of riding, smaller groups of riders, and qualified wranglers provide a fun, safe riding experience.  A mile of private river frontage makes flyfishing an exhilarating experience, and we hike to places that take your breath away.  A trip to a ghost town with lots of gold mining history is a "must-do!" A scenic boat float, cowboy cookouts/campfires..and more

Ranch Lodging

Comfortable beds, warm showers and clean accommodations-well suited to the wilderness setting.  Eagles Nest Lodge perched on a cliff offers a friendly gathering place to eat, chat, and enjoy the scenery.  Four rooms over the lodge provide lodging with a spectacular view.  Three cabins nearby offer more privacy and space with a queen bed, sleeping lofts, and a small sitting area.  Our deluxe cabin accommodates larger families.
