The CM Ranch is a dude ranch with a fine reputation and specializes in family vacations.  The CM offers a variety of outdoor adventures, including horseback riding, fishing, hiking, pack trips, weekly rodeo, cookouts, and more.

The expansive ranch lands are contiguous with the Shoshone National Forest and Fitzpatrick Wilderness, which allow for almost endless private riding and fishing in country of great variety and beauty. The CM is a family friendly environment with a welcoming atmosphere and a unique charm.
During the day you can ride, fish, hike, swim, picnic, participate in activities, or relax with your book, as you please. Evenings can be spent with others at square dances or cookouts, playing softball, horseshoes or volleyball on the lawn, or ping pong and card games. Each week there is a slide show by a local photographer, and an evening of cowboy poetry and music. Perhaps you would like to join friends on a cabin porch for conversation and star-gazing. And there is always the quiet seclusion of your cabin to enjoy.
The CM is friendly and casual. The size is ideal, as there are always several age groups, assuring congenial companionship for all. It is a relaxing place to bring your family or friends, and spend time with them in simple outdoor activities. The employees are seasoned ranch hands and college students from all over the United States, and they are encouraged to participate in all aspects of ranch life. Everyone is welcome at the CM; families, groups, reunions, couples, and singles. All will get to know each other very easily and find themselves engaging in activities together.

Itinerary

Ranch Dining

All ages eat together in our main dining room or on our lovely deck overlooking the creek.  Our chef pays special attention to each guest and their specific dietary requests.  All meals are carefully prepared, delicious and abundant.  Breakfast is served to order, lunch is buffet, and dinner is family style.  Vegetarian diets can be accommodated.  You will enjoy getting to know our enthusiastic kitchen crew.  Fresh baked goods every day; birthday and anniversary cakes can be created at anytime.

Ranch Activities

It is not necessary to know how to ride before coming to the ranch. It takes but a short time to learn, and excellent instruction is provided as needed. Each person is furnished with a horse matched to his or her ability, and a comfortable western saddle. The CM has an exceptionally fine string of horses, both gentle and spirited, suitable for the beginner or the expert rider. They are well adapted to mountain terrain.

Riding is available twice a day

Ranch Lodging

The Dining Room cabins are located across the large, expansive lawn and tree-covered area that faces the dining room. The creek, Jakeys Fork flows in front of them, and the Dining Room cabins have lovely porches that face the stream.
The Hill cabins are located on a small rise and have nice views from their porches.
Garden and Studio cabins and Greer, Baker, and Hardie Houses are across the Jakeys Fork Bridge.
