The Hideout takes pride in a high amount of repeat guests, amongst which are many Europeans. Most of our staff is year-around and are safe, personable professionals passionate about the area, our property, the public lands but especially about you.
We are a riding, horsemanship and cattle guest ranch. We own and train most of our horses, including a string of Mustangs. Our wranglers, cowboys & cowgirls are excellent horsemen, riding and stockmanship instructors. Together with our guests we do most of the cattle work for the ranch in very diverse scenery. Advanced riders will find experienced wranglers, cowboys & cowgirls excellent horses and challenging rides. As beginning or intermediate riders you will find very patient instructors and safe, willing horses.
The Hideout offers additional non-riding activities like trapshooting, fly-fishing, hiking, canoeing, hiking, biking and 4x4 mountain tours with wine and a picnic. The Hideout is a unique spot for weddings, family reunions or small meaningful corporate events. We do speak 5 languages amongst which French, German and Dutch. We do not offer a special kids program because this is a true ranch experience and we believe that families should enjoy this experience together.
Our guests sleep in comfortable and nicely decorated log cabins with private bathroom, fridge, TV, wireless internet and rocking chairs on the porches. Beds and rooms are cleaned daily and we turn the rooms, change sheets in the middle of the week. Our chefs are culinary schooled, creative and very attentive to dietary requests.
The Hideout is NOT a Nose to Tail Ranch.

Itinerary
Ranch DiningOur hearty Western fare and gourmet dinners are one of the reasons that many of our guests return every year. We use only the best and freshest ingredients.
We serve juicy certified Black Angus steaks, seafood, game, chicken, pork or vegetarian dishes. Every morning we cook warm breakfasts and there is plenty of fruit, juices, cereals, etc. if you prefer to keep it light. Our chefs will work with any dietary requests or suggestions within limits given you let us know ahead of time. Wine with dinner and cocktails at cocktail hour are included in your package. We carry a full liquor license.
Ranch Activities
Most guests come for the riding and horses. We offer a choice of cattle drives, gathering, team penning, branding, etc. There is endless trail riding in a diversity of country, scenery, altitude and formations. Our key staff are experienced & patient horseman, cowboys and trainers. Beginning, intermediate and experienced riders will find The Hideout to be a western riding paradise. Aside horseback riding we offer Trapshooting, fishing, 4x4 Tours, rodeo, hiking, biking, massage, etc
Ranch Lodging
Our Western-style log cabins are decorated with excellent furnishings in warm colors and well maintained. Emerald green lawns surround the cabins, which connect to the main lodge, other cabins, swimming pond and hot-tub by well lit pathways.
The Hideout Casitas are one-bedroom apartments within short walking distance from the Main Lodge.
Our cabins have private bathrooms, TV, fridge, air co, telephone and wireless internet. Beds are made up daily and the rooms are turned middle of the week.
