The Vee Bar located near Laramie, Wyoming just 2 1/2 hours north of Denver, Colorado is a world-reknown family guest and dude ranch with a relaxed atmosphere sure to feel like home to your entire family.

Activities range from horseback riding to evenings gathered around a campfire. At the Vee Bar you can do as much or as little as you like.  In addtion to horseback riding, you may also take guided hikes, go fly-fishing and take advantage of lessons provided by our Orvis-endorsed guide, learn about the geology in the area, go on a wagon ride, river tube, trap shoot, and much more.

Our horseback riding program is what sets us apart.  At the Vee Bar you will find a variety of terrain to suit your entire group.  Loping rides are offered and we can comfortably accommodate riders of ALL abilities.  Children must be six or older to ride on the trails.  Our ranch is horse-safety certified, but our wranglers will also make sure you have a wonderful time out on the trails!  We do not ride in a nose-to-tail line.  Our horses are turned out to pasture every evening and brought in so that they are fresh and ready to start the next day.  You will be matched with one horse for the duration of your stay.  Our wranglers are as flexible as possible so please do not hesitate to make a request!

Resting in the shadows of the Snowy Range Mountains in the Centennial Valley, the Vee Bar Guest Ranch is located 21 miles west of Laramie, Wyoming. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, this 100 year-old landmark has served as a cattle ranch, a stagecoach stop, a boy's school, and a buffalo ranch. With careful restoration and creative decor, its western heritage has been preserved.  In 1994 the Cole Family purchased the Vee Bar and made it the special place that it is today, welcoming hundreds of guests each summer during the guest ranch season, and hundreds more during the winter bed and breakfast season.  The Vee Bar is family owned and operated.  The Kilmer's, third generation, are currently managing the ranch.

The ranch is a great vacation place for kids. The terrain is gentle and safe with plenty of room to run and play. For children under six, child-care providers will be available with notice.  While parents and older siblings are out rides, younger children may be hunting for gold nuggets, playing on the swing set, on a scavenger hunt, or fishing in the pond.  Children six and older are eligible for horseback riding activities with parents or other children. Children can work on their horsemanship skills by competing in the gymkhana or moving cattle while receiving pointers and coaching from our kid-friendly wranglers.

The Vee Bar offers three and six-night packages.  Check in days are on Sundays and Wednesdays.  Horseback riding activities throughout the week are designed to be progressive, giving you a chance to excel as much as possible during your visit.

Whether you are looking for a family getaway or a location to hold a company retreat, the Vee Bar is sure to be a memorable experience.  Reservations are handled individually, and we take special requests!  The Cole's and Kilmer's look forward to meeting you!
