From Buenos Aires, we fly to Mendoza province and absorb all the wine traditions of Tupungato, Uco Valley, and the Central Valleys. Lodge at exclusive, countryside retreats. Cycle and horseback ride throughout the vineyards, and dine at state-of-the-art wineries. From Mendoza, we fly west across the cordillera to Santiago de Chile, enjoying superb views of Mt. Aconcagua, the highest peak of the Americas. Afterwards, visit some outstanding Bodegas in the area of the Colchagua and Maipo Valleys.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Buenos Aires
We will be waiting for you at Buenos Aires Airport. Transfer to your hotel in the lively Palermo District. A brief orientation meeting will be held at the hotel to meet your guide and review the itinerary before heading for one of the city’s finest Wine bars and get acquainted with the Argentine Malbecs and Torrontes.

Palermo – Buenos Aires

Day 2: Buenos Aires
Morning bike ride visiting some of the most traditional neighborhoods of the city, including San Telmo, the Art district with its (*) famous street fair. Recoleta, with its sparkling cafes & restaurants and its famed cemetery, and Buenos Aires Ecological reservation. Time for lunch at the city’s modern waterfront. Early afternoon ride back to your hotel.
The rest of the day is yours to walk this amazing city, its museums and parks, as you get ready for an evening of Music & Dance at one of Buenos Aires’ most authentic Tango venues.

Cycling time: ( only during weekends ) 4 hours, on flat surface, mostly
on bike paths and pedestrian walkways.

Day 3: Flight to Mendoza – Wineries at Central Valleys of Mendoza
Transfer to airport to board morning flight to Mendoza. Upon our arrival, visit to centric Mendoza before we head for Ruca Malen winery, where we will enjoy a five course lunch pairing food & wine. Afternoon wine tasting at Catena Zapata. The winery, recognized for being the pioneer of quality winemaking in Argentina, is also well known for the outstanding architectural design of its Bodega. Afterwards, we continue our transfer south to the Uco Valley where we lodge at the exclusive boutique hotel at the vineyards.

Day 4:Mendoza Uco Valley – ( Biking and optional Horseback riding at the Andes’ foothills)
Morning biking through the outstanding landscape of the Uco Valley to La Azul, a small Boutique winery, producer of outstanding Malbecs.
Lunch a la Carte ( not included) at Kilka , Salentein Bodega`s Restaurant and Art Space. Afternoon visit to the winery, before heading back for the Posada. The day is yours to leisure away. (*)
(*)Optional (not included): Afternoon horse back riding ( 2 hours approx. ) by the Andean’foothills

Total Biking distance: 25km. Terrain: flat- mostly on paved roads

Day 5: (Mendoza) – Uco valley – Biking & Wineries
Morning bike to one of the valley’s finest wineries: Clos de los Siete , a joint wine adventure initiated a few years back by the world famous French winemaker Michel Rolland. with magnificent views of the Andes. We also ride the bodega’s inner roads to Monteviejo Winery, before heading for a traditional Asado at Posada del Jamon, the hidden local gem specialized in pork meats. ( lunch a la carte/ not included).
Afternoon leisure by the pool or walk by the magnificent surroundings

Day 6: Mendoza  (flight to) – Santiago de Chile
Morning transfer to Mendoza airport to board a flight over the Andes, to Chile’s capital, the city of Santiago. Arrival to Santiago airport and transfer to downtown. Check in at the hotel in the elegant Providencia neighborhood..
Afternoon transfer to Mercado Central, the historic building where Chilean Chefs go for fresh sea- food. From there, we start a guided walking tour of downtown Santiago`s main historic sites. Transfer back to your hotel. Evening leisure

Day 7: Colchagua Valley
Morning transfer south to the town of Santa Cruz, at the center of Colchagua Valley, one of the Chile’s most prominent wine regions. Noon at the historic town. Afternoon cycling through the outstanding scenery (on secondary roads) to our exclusive wine lodge.

Total biking distance: 35 km on paved and secondary dirt roads .

Day 8: Colchagua Valley
After breakfast we cycle to  town of Peralillo, where we stop for coffee at the local bakery. From there, we bike to the elegant Montgras Winery, well known for their treatment of the indigenous Carmenere,the iconic grape of Chile.  At the winery’s cellar we put hands-on to blend and create our own unique wine. Picnic lunch  ( box lunch) at the vineyards. This afternoon, we transfer to  the Apalta Valley  where we’ll taste  highly rated, Premium wines at Casa Lapostolle. Transfer back to the lodge.

Total biking distance:  40 km , secondary paved  and  dirt  roads, in very good conditions.

Day 9: Casa Silva Winery and transfer to Santiago airport
After one-hour transfer we get to Casa Silva Winery . Walk through the oldest vineyards in the Colchagua Valley, and taste the bodegas’ superb Reserves & Whites. Lunch at the winery´s restarurant by Polo field. ( Lunch a la carte, not included). Early afternoon departure to Santiago International Airport, to board flights back home. ( Optional included: transfer to downtown Santiago.)
