Itinerary
Day 1 – ARUSHA: Arrive Kilimanjaro International Airport near Arusha. You’ll be met and transferred to Moivaro Lodge. Overnight here.
Days 2 – TARANGIRE: After breakfast, drive to Tarangire National Park with picnic lunch and game viewing en route. This park is unique for its grand Baobob trees and large herds of elephants. Overnight Tarangire private campsite. (B, L, D)
Our Classic Camp, above right, includes small but comfortable walk-in tents with en suite toilet and shower. Camps include friendly staff to do all set-ups, prepare and serve delicious meals. Also includes a dining tent for meals and campfires where possible. All of the campsites are private bush campsites.
Day 3 – LAKE MANYARA: Enjoy your a full morning game drive in Tarangire, then depart for Lake Manyara National Park, a lush forested park at the edge of the lake, famous for its tree-climbing lions. Overnight Lake Manyara private campsite. (B, L, D)
Day 4 – LAKE MANYARA: Spend a full day game viewing in the park or enjoy a half-day guided cultural visit of Mto Wa Mbu Village, or a guided walk down the Rift Valley Escarpment through the forest. Overnight Lake Manyara private campsite. (B, L, D)
Days 5 – 7 – SERENGETI: After breakfast, spend the morning driving to the Serengeti, game viewing en route. Visit the cradle of mankind, Olduvai Gorge, along the way. This giant ecosystem is home to millions of animals including lions, cheetah, leopards, buffalo, elephants, zebras, impalas, hyenas, wildebeest, hippos, crocodiles and more. For the Classic Camp option, we stay in a lodge in the Serengeti National Park for the first night, giving opportunity for the camp to relocate for the following night. For the Adventure Camp option, we reach our destination this day, by dinner. (B, L, D)
Day 8 – NGORONGORO CRATER: Early this morning depart for Ngorongoro, reaching the crater by mid-day and descending for an afternoon game drive on the crater floor. Overnight in your private campsite at the edge of the forest and conservation area. Classic camp option stays in a 4-star lodge. Adventure camp option stays in a private campsite. (B, L, D)
Day 9 – ARUSHA: In the morning, drive back to Arusha for lunch & use of a day room. Evening transfer to the Kilimanjaro International Airport. (B, L)
