DAY 1 & 2

New Delhi, India

See the magnificent Red Fort, a marvel in red sandstone. Visit Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in India. Explore Chandni Chowk, a bustling colorful market. Then tour New Delhi’s sights including the Mausoleum of Emperor Humayun, the imposing India Gate, and Parliament House. (B)

Agra

This morning take the train south to incredible Agra. Visit the Agra Fort, a massive red sandstone Mughal Fort. Built on the banks of the Yamuna River in 1565 by Emperor Akbar, the fort houses a beautiful Pearl Mosque. Tour the world famous Taj Mahal — built by Shah Jahan for his queen, Mumtaz Mahal. (B)

Agra & Jaipur

Jaipur

This morning take an elephant ride to visit the Amber Fort, a classic, romantic Rajasthani Fort Palace. Stop to visit Hawa Mahal — the Palace of the Winds. Then tour the city of Jaipur, starting with a visit to the Maharaja’s City Palace. Later, visit the Jantar Mantar, the largest stone and marble crafted observatory in the world. (B)

DAYS 6 & 7

Jaipur & Udaipur

Today fly to Udaipur, called the “Venice of the East.” The city sits gloriously in a valley, amid green hills on the banks of Lake Pichola. Your sightseeing of Udaipur includes a visit to the vast and exquisite City Palace. Covering almost four acres, the palace is noted for its marble pavilion and an imposing dome and today is a museum with a large and diverse collection of artifacts. This afternoon enjoy a private boat ride on the lake. (2B)
