Nairobi, Kenya
Arrive in Nairobi on
Day 2 and visit the Daphne Sheldrick’s Elephant Orphanage, get up close
and personal with rescued baby elephants as they feed and play, and
learn about how they are cared for before they are returned to the wild.
At the Giraffe Center Wildlife Preserve you can view these magnificent
animals in their natural habitat and even feed them. Visit the house of
Karen Blixen, the author of Out of Africa memoirs about her 17 years
spent in Kenya. The Danish baroness and plantation owner had a
passionate but doomed love affair with a free-spirited big game hunter.
