Itinerary
Day 1
Pemba Beach Resort
Your journey wil begin in Pemba, the gateway to the Quirimbas Island paradise. A sleepy colonial town of cultural and historic significance, Pemba lies at the tip of Pemba Bay, one of the world’s largest inland bays, in northern Mozambique. Each room in the Pemba Beach Hotel offers magnificent views of the sparkling Indian Ocean.
Day 2- 5
Guludo Beach Lodge
After breakfast, you will be met by a representative from Guludo Beach Lodge and transferred by shared light aircraft charter flight to Guludo Beach Lodge. The flying time is approximately 20 minutes.
Guludo is a tropical, barefoot paradise, on a deserted, powder white beach. Lapping turquoise waters, rustling palms and a sultry sun guarantee complete tranquility. Guludo has a rustic exclusivity with spacious, beach-front bandas and an intimate feel with character filled service and an exotic, fresh seafood-based cuisine.
Enjoy a bush walk, passing through an old coconut plantation, wetlands, forest, along an elephant highway through to a beautiful lily pond, home to a fantastic array of birds and monkeys.
Opposite Guludo's calm bay is the Quirimbas Archipelago's fringing reef with breath-taking coral diversity as well as copious schools of game fish, turtles, and, at the right time of year, humpback whales. With vast diving diversity, Guludo offers a range of diving from sheltered tranquil coral gardens to drop-offs with strong currents.
A day visit to nearby Ibo Island, a World Heritage site rich in cultural and historical significance, is included in your stay. The boat ride there is approximately 30 minutes.
Ibo Island has been described as one of the most tranquil islands in the world and time spent on this little palm and coral fringed island is really unique.
