DAY 3

Rotorua & Lake Taupo

Travel south through Waikato’s lush farmlands to Matamata, a rural valley town and famed filming location of the Lord of the Rings movies. Continue on to Rotorua, an active geothermal city. Take a gondola ride over beautiful Lake Rotorua. View the famous Huka Falls and the Wairakei Geothermal project. (B)
