Itinerary
DAYS 1 & 2
Bali & Candi Dasa, Indonesia
Take
a morning cruise along Bali’s eastern shore aboard a 50-foot
traditionally styled Balinese outrigger. The warm tropical waters are
teeming with brilliantly colored reef fish — a delight for snorkelers. (B)
Amankila, Bali
DAYS 3 & 4
Ubud & Ayung River Valley
Learn
about the Hindu culture and experience the traditional daily life of
the rural Balinese. Explore village roads full of community farms and
cottage industries. You may be invited into the homes of some of the
local artisans and craftsmen to experience their hospitality — and let
them share their skills and the stories behind their crafts. Trek into
the Ayung River Valley, followed by a healthy picnic breakfast. (2B, L)

Visit the Candi Kuning Market with its colorful fruit and flower stalls.
Travel to Lake Beratan to tour the 17th-century Ulun Danu Temple.
Continue to Alas Kedaton or “Holy Forest,” where hundreds of monkeys
live free in their natural habitat, residing high in the nutmeg trees
and flourishing in the Pura Bukit Temple. End today’s journey with a
spectacular sunset at the famous Tanah Lot Temple, built on a volcanic
