Itinerary
Saturday/Tuesday:
Helicopter flight in early morning (around 07:00 AM) from Revelstoke to the Durrand Glacier Chalet. There you will store a duffle-bag with spare clothing. Then the helicopter will fly you and your guide across the most amazing glaciers and ice-falls to the Mt.Moloch Chalet which is the absolute center of the huge glacial amphitheatre at the upper end of the Dismal Glacier and base of Mt. Moloch. The Mt.Moloch Chalet will be our home for the duration of the alpine rock program. This is truly "the little house on the glacier".
After we have settled in at the Mt.Moloch Chalet we will venture to our first alpine rock route which is within a 45 minutes walk from the hut.
Sunday/Wednesday to Thursday:
Climbing different alpine rock routes in the area of the Mt.Moloch Chalet.
Friday:
Today we are going to enjoy our last alpine rock route in the area. However the descent will bring us to the Durrand Glacier Chalet. This means that all clothing and gear we have brought to the Mt.Moloch Chalet needs to be carried along on the climb. Depending on how you feel, we can accommodate a longer alpine rock route or enjoy a shorter scramble to a beautiful peak. Tonight we will stay at the luxurious Durrand Glacier Chalet which is located at the base of the Durrand Glacier and on top of a scenic knoll, overlooking the beautiful Monashee Mountains in the West and the deep forested Carnes Creek Valley.
Saturday:
Early morning helicopter flight from the Durrand Glacier Chalet back to Revelstoke. Depending on the weather you can expect to be back in Revelstoke by 10:00 AM.
