Situated in western Nepal, Mt Manaslu at 8,163 m (26,758 ft) is one of the coveted 8000m peaks and worlds 8th highest peak. In the spring season of 2012, Adventure Consultants will operate a ‘professionally led’, non guided, expedition to Manaslu to attempt the classic North East face ‘normal’ route.
Manaslu is considered an ‘achievable’ 8000m peak with minimal objective hazards and the climbing route follows a relatively straightforward line to the summit without any significant technical sections. This expedition is for seasoned climbers who are comfortable climbing on a ‘non guided’ expedition on an 8000m peak. The expedition will be managed and led by seasoned AC owner/guide Guy Cotter and his select team of strong and experienced Sherpas who will carry the group equipment. Expedition members can elect to include additional Sherpa support to carry personal gear (good for aging knees!) and oxygen can be arranged for inclusion, should you elect to use it.
This expedition presents a real opportunity for climbers to perform in the world of 8000m with reliable leadership that enables you to focus on the climbing.

When I decided four years ago to complete the Seven Summits, I wanted to try a different guide company for all of my climbs until I found one that I was comfortable with, had the experience on all the summits and met all my expectations. After using three other companies, I am now in the process of planning my third climb with Adventure Consultants.

Good guides understand that part of the payoff is the opportunity to help create on of life's most powerful experiences for someone they've just met. I salute the guides of Adventure Consultants, who do just that every time they lead an expedition.

May I take this opportunity to thank Adventure Consultants for putting me on top of the world on May 13, 2011, it was a lifelong ambition to climb Everest, and I only believe it starts to sink in 6 months later!
