Day 1 – Arrive in Lhasa:
Arrive in Lhasa; afternoon is left free for acclimatization; welcome dinner.

Day 2 – The Holy of the Holiest (Lhasa):
Spend the morning at the Potala Palace; visit Jokhang Temple and Barkhor Street; learn about Tibetan medicine from an expert at a Tibetan hospital.

Day 3 – Reflections on Buddhism: A Walk along a Sacred Pilgrimage Path (Lhasa):
Drive to and explore Pabongka Monastery; hike downhill to Chupsang Nunnery; walk to Sera Monastery, where we have a picnic lunch; depending on availability, make your own prayer flag at Sera’s printing center and witness monks debate age-old scripts in the courtyard.

Day 4 – Picnic Lunch on the Shores of a Holy Lake and Travels to Shigatse (Lhasa – Yamdrok Tso Lake – Shigatse):
Picnic lunch at holy Yamdrok Tso Lake; drive to Shigatse, by way of Gyantse and the Gyantse Monastery; arrive in Shigatse and rest at hotel.

Day 5 – Sip Yak Butter Tea with a Local Family and Camping on the Roof of the World (Shigatse):

Morning prayers at Tashi Lhunpo Monastery; visit Shigatse local market; sip yak butter tea with a local family in their home; hike in surrounding area to Ngor village; dinner and relaxation time at our campsite, under the stars, on the Roof of the World.

Day 6 – Family Time (Shigatse – Lhasa):

Drive back directly to Lhasa; afternoon free to explore; Tibetan Farewell Dinner.
