As some of the scholars argued, Croatian islands were the setting for the legend of the Greek hero Odysseus. Its small scattered islands and cities of yore unfold stories of the times of pirates and buccaneers. The sea is the setting of the quest for power between Venetians and Dalmatians and of the quest for knowledge between west and orient. From Jason of the Argonauts to Marco Polo this was the cradle for some of the best stories of our times. And they all started on a sailing boat.

  • Reviewer: Best regards, Annette
I wanted to let you know what a great trip I had and to say thank you for all of your pre-trip help. The trip was fantastic. A lot of the credit for that can go to Tanja. She is a terrific guide, cook, and representative of Slovenia. The rest of the credit can go to your beautiful country! It was also nice to get to meet Luka and Ursula, even if only quickly. Thanks again for everything.

Already becoming skilled sailors, we embark on a 7 hour journey to the remote and mysterious island of Lastovo. The island used to be off limits to the civilians for a long period of 40 years in the time of Tito's Yugoslavia. Therefore it stayed almost untouched and it offers amazing waters. Imagine you can see 100 feet deep into the water. We spend the night in the area called "The Secret bay" where the local restaurant owner prepares a mouth-watering Adriatic lobster. Add some top quality virgin olive oil to this and you get a real gourmet extravaganza.

The straight between Korcula and Peljesac peninsula is a paradise for sailing and surfing. The constant breeze creates great playground for sailing enthusiasts. Hours of sailing: 4 hs

Day 7 Scedro - Boboviste, Hvar

From Scedro we sail to the village of St. Sunday placed in a setting of craggy cliffs and pine trees. We spend the day swimming and slowly sailing back to the island of Brac.
