Day 1
Arrive Lusaka – To Lower Zambezi National Park
Upon arrival in Lusaka, you will be met for your light aircraft transfer to the Lower Zambezi National Park, truly one of the wildest areas in Africa and only accessible between mid-April and late-November. No detail is spared at your bush camp / luxury tented camp with deluxe accommodations and sumptuous cuisine served either in a communal dining experience in the open air or in a private dining setting of your choice. Days 2-3
Lower Zambezi National Park
Enjoy a variety of activities in the Lower Zambezi. Wildlife includes over 50 mammal species, including lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, hippo and more. An abundance of bird species and crocodiles are a highlight. Situated on the banks of the Zambezi River, your camp offers a large range of game viewing and safari activities including day and night game drives, walking safaris, canoeing, boating and fishing for the world-renowned tiger fish. Day 4
To South Luangwa National Park
Today you will fly to South Luangwa National Park by light aircraft. The remote park is famous for leopard viewing. Upon arrival, check in to your safari-style deluxe camp and soak up the atmosphere. Kalamu Lagoon Camp or Chindeni Camp – 3-nights (B, L, D)
Days 5-6
South Luangwa National Park
Enjoy two full days of game viewing activities in the park. Located at the tail end of the Great Rift Valley, in the Luangwa Valley, the South Luangwa National Park is wild and remote. It has an abundance of wildlife that is rarely seen in other game reserves and is one of the finest wildlife sanctuaries in the world. Activities include day and night game drives by open Land Rover and guided walking safaris, which originated in the park. (B, L, D)
Day 7
To Busanga Plains, Kafue National Park
Fly via Lusaka to Kafue National Park by light aircraft. A scenic helicopter transfer will carry you over the open plains to your camp, which boasts a cozy central lounge and bar overlooking acres of flat savannah dotted with tree islands, home to tree-climbing lions, cheetah, wildebeest, over half the world’s population of endangered Wattled Crane and much, much more. Busanga Bush Camp or Shumba Camp – 3-nights (B, L, D)
Days 8-9
Busanga Plains, Kafue National Park
Comprising nearly 8690-square miles in the Busanga Plains, Kafue National Park is one of the largest in Africa and considered one of Zambia’s most important wetlands. Birdlife is abundant and includes nearly 500 recorded species. With more than 150 species of mammals that call the park home, there are regular sightings of lion, leopard, buffalo, cheetah, hippo and good numbers of plains game. (B, L, D)
Option: Enjoy a sunrise hot-air balloon safari, flying low over the Busanga Plains.
Day 10
To Livingstone, Zambia & Victoria Falls
Fly to Livingstone by light aircraft. Transfer to Toka Leya Camp, located in the Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park. The camp’s dining, lounge and bar areas offer ample space for relaxation and are complemented by an infinity pool. Toka Leya – 2-nights (B, L, D)
Day 11
Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park & Victoria Falls
Victoria Falls has been named one of the 7 Natural Wonders of the World. A trip to the awe-inspiring falls is a highlight. Other activities included from Toka Leya are game drives in the Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park; river cruises on the Zambezi; a tour of Livingstone town and the museum; visits to local curio shops, Mkuni Market and Simonga Village; and fishing excursions on the river. Option: Embark on a short boat ride through the channels of the Zambezi River to Livingstone Island, enjoy a tented lunch and take a thrilling dip in the natural “devil’s pool.”
Day 12
Depart Livingstone, Zambia
Today you will be transferred to the Livingstone Airport for your onward flight. (B)
