This value tour first takes you to the Timbavati Private Game Reserve to enjoy some of the best Big Five game viewing in the country. Located on the boundary of the world renowned Kruger National Park, The Timbavati Game Reserve lies to the north of the Sabi Sand Game Reserve on the western edge of Kruger National Park and is one of South Africa's prime wildlife viewing areas. Established in 1956 by like-minded game farmers, the Reserve covers 680 square kilometers. There are no fences separating the Timbavati from the Kruger National Park, so lion, elephant, cheetah and other species roam freely between the two. Enjoy the all-inclusive game lodge, with daily game drives in open top vehicles. Return to Johannesburg for a night then fly up to Zambia, where you experience the majestic Victoria Falls. The Victoria Falls or Mosi-oa-Tunya (the Smoke that Thunders) is situated in southern Africa on the Zambezi River between the countries of Zambia and Zimbabwe. The falls are, by some measures, the largest waterfall in the world, as well as being among the most unusual in form, and having arguably the most diverse and easily seen wildlife of any major waterfall site.
