The Teacher’s Assistant program in Argentina provides the opportunity to be an assistant to a teacher, teach English at a language school and live with an Argentine family as you volunteer in Argentina with GeoVisions.  Participants also have the opportunity to take courses at the local universities as well as go on a variety of field trips and social activities.

While working in a private institution part time and part time in a rural or state school, participants spend most of their time interacting orally in English with students.  Typically a day is anywhere from 4 to 7 hours.

This program is offered in several locations around Argentina:  Posadas, Misiones in the north-eastern corner of country; San Juan, the capital city of the province of San Juan in the Cuyo region; San Miguel de Tucuman located in the northwest of the country; and Chilecito, La Rioja located 200 km west of the capital city of La Rioja.  Other possible options included:  Avellaneda (Santa Fe), Catamarca, Córdoba, Comodoro Rivadavia (Chubut), General Pico (La Pampa), La Rioja, Mar del Plata (Province of Buenos Aires), Mendoza, Neuquén, Resistencia (Chaco), Rosario (Santa Fe), San Salvador and San Pedro (Jujuy), Salta, San Luis, Santa Fe, San Rafael (Mendoza), and Tandil (Province of Buenos Aires).
