The morning is at leisure. In the afternoon, take a privately guided tour of the fascinating Mayan archaeological site of Edzna with your guide. The ancient site — founded between 600 and 300 BC — is a significant Mayan city due to the many technological advances believed to have been developed here, including a magnificent drainage system that funneled rainwater into underground cisterns called chultunes.

Chichen Itza served as the political and economic center. Its various structures — including the pyramid of Kukulkan, the Temple of Chac Mool and the Hall of the Thousand Pillars — demonstrate the Maya’s extraordinary commitment to architectural space, advanced mathematical knowledge and great understanding of the solar system. Continue to Cancun for your flight home.
