In Africa, five is a really big number. We’d be remiss if we sent you home from Africa without giving you the chance to check elephants, lions, leopards, buffaloes and rhinoceros—the big-game Big Five—off your list of all-time must-sees. On our post-trip to the Eastern Cape’s Kwandwe Private Game Reserve, you’ll plenty of time to track down the beasties (as well as giraffes, zebras and kudu) on daily bush walks with experienced travellers and game drives in 4x4 safari vehicles. Best of all, we sleep where the animals do (not literally, of course) at the reserve’s Relais & Châteaux-approved lodge.
