What makes skiing Chile so special is the renowned powder snow, the breathtaking scenery, and the ease of getting there with the country’s finest resorts within just a two-hour drive of Santiago’s international airport. Add cat-skiing to this mix and you have a skier’s paradise. On this ski adventure, spend seven blissful days deep in the mountain powder enjoying the old world charm of top ski resorts, experiencing warm Chilean hospitality, and being surrounded by the rugged scenery of the Andes and too many great runs to write home about. That Chile’s best ski areas are coincidentally located near the valleys that produce the country’s best premium wines offers superb extension possibilities to your Chile ski tour.

  • Reviewer: Sharon Rault located in Wisconsin, Galapagos and Peru
“I traveled to Peru and Equador (the Galapagos) in January 2010. While I have traveled extensively throughout the world, this trip was my introduction to South America. I was extremely impressed with Southern Explorations and the high level of their operations. The itinerary was expertly planned, the hotels were wonderful and perfectly located, the guides spoke excellent English and were well informed, and the transfers were handled with ease. I had an absolutely delightful and memorable holiday and would not hesitate to book another one with Southern Explorations.”
  • Reviewer: Eric Vilbert located in Peru
“We're already looking to book up the Galapagos Multisport trip with you for the same timeframe of next year. The trip exceeded expectations, and we all felt like we got excellent value for our money on this trip.”
  • Reviewer: Joe Kromdyk located in Peru
“We had a ball, satisfied some personal goals, and traveled in some of the most beautiful parts of the world I have ever seen.”

After breakfast and one last morning on the Tres Valles slopes, you’ll head north to Los Andes for an equally unique ski/boarding experience at South America’s best known resort, El Portillo. With twenty-three trails, twelve lifts and a vertical drop of almost 6,000 feet, this resort attracts ski racers to practice and compete. The resort offers runs for all abilities. Your spacious lodging for the next three nights, with breakfasts and dinners included, is the relaxing Casa San Regis hacienda.
