Our Austalia and New Zealand trip arranged by First Light Travel was
fantastic - could not have been better. Our consultant, Chrissy, was
prompt and thorough during the design of the trip. Our itinerary was
very helpful. The lodging and transport arrangements made by First Light
were all seamless - we had no problems of any significance and were
pleased with all accommodations.

I found First Light Travel in a National Geographic magazine in my
dentist's office and thought I'd try. I was impressed with the service
the first time I contacted the travel agency. The knowledge, experience
and professionalism of our travel agent, Verity Paterson, helped make
our trip to Australia everything we hoped it would be. I completed all
of our arrangements via the internet including several last minute
changes and I always felt like my agent was doing everything she could
to make sure our accomodations, travel and activities were totally taken
care of. I would recommend the service to anyone and if/when we're
considering another trip "down under", I wouldn't hesitate contacting
First Light Travel again.

Shelley, our consultant was very conscientious offering detailed,
informed travel suggestions along with specific details of what we could
expect. Once we arrived in Australia we found that everything went
smoothly according to our plans. We had great fun without the
complications and hassles from being in another country.

Itinerary
Day 1
perth to kalbarri
We enter the Nambung National Park to explore the mysterious Pinnacles Desert and then discover some massive sand dunes. The raw material for the limestone of the Pinnacles came from seashells in an earlier epoch rich in marine life. These shells were broken down into lime rich sands which were blown inland to form high mobile dunes. We continue on to Geraldton heading to our accommodation in Kalbarri.
Day 2
kalbarri to shark bay
It's a short drive to the Kalbarri National Park where we explore Murchison Gorge, Nature's Window and Z-Bend Gorge (it's a steep descent but worth the effort). Make the most of your trip and abseil here (own expense). After lunch we visit beautiful Shell Beach as we travel towards Denham and Shark Bay.
Day 3
shark bay to northampton
This morning we rise to the beautiful sights of Monkey Mia. A unique and friendly encounter is waiting for you at Monkey Mia. We make our way down to the beach and the world famous Monkey Mia dolphins. Here you can also enjoy a sail boat cruise (own expense) to view more of magnificent creatures of the sea. View the mystical Pinnacles formed thousands of years ago. We begin our journey south and stop at Hamelin Pool to view the Stromatolites. It is believed the Pinnacles were created millions of years ago as seashells were broken down into sand and then eroded by water and wind. We will arrive at our farm stay for the night.
Day 4
northampton to perth
We make the short journey to the Hutt River Province to learn of its unique history. Bring your passport if you'd like another stamp! Later we make a stop at the Greenough Wildlife Park – the home of a python breeding center and a 'hands on' experience if you wish, before arriving into Perth in the early morning.
