Day 1 : Arrive Lima, transfer and overnight.

Arrive in Lima, welcome and transfer to your hotel.

Day 2 : Explore Lima, boat tour to Palomino Islands, overnight.
Visiting: Lima Vicinity
Full day tour and visit to the Palomino Islands (group boat; private tour for the sanctuary). Pick up at your hotel. A 3-hour boat ride through the Palomino Islands. Then we will enjoy lunch at the Rosa Nautica Restaurant, one of the best restaurants in Lima, with a great location over the ocean. Afterwards, continue towards the ?Pantanos de Villa? (Villa Marshlands) National Reserve, where plenty of wildlife, and especially birds can be spotted. This is a national sanctuary, just outside of Lima, with more than 210 types of birds, 10 types of fish and reptiles.

Day 3 : Fly to Iquitos, transfer to your Amazon rainforest lodge. Overnight.
Visiting: Lima, Iquitos
In the morning, we will have a group city tour of Lima (colonial and modern). In the afternoon, transfer to the airport to take flight to Iquitos. Arrive and transfer to your hotel.

Day 4 : Amazon Lodge
Visiting: Iquitos, Amazon Rainforest
Pick up from hotel by one of our bilingual guides. Transfer to the town of Nauta, the first population founded by the Spaniards on the shores of the Mara??n River. The trip approximately lasts 1.30h on a road of 90 kilometers (55 miles), totally asphalted. In Nauta, you will be embarked in PSAL boats to visit the confluence of the Ucayali and Mara??n rivers, the head of the Amazon River. Enjoy the spectacular view of the Amazon River from a 100 feet watching tower. Arrival to the lodge and accommodation. Lunch. In the afternoon, we will make a hike through the rainforest that surrounds the lodge to appreciate rainforest flora and fauna. Depending of the climate conditions, we will observe a beautiful sunset from our watch-tower. Dinner and briefing about the activities of the next day.

Day 5 : Amazon rainforest excursions by boat and hiking. Overnight.
Visiting: Amazon River, Pacaya Samiria National Reserve (PSNR)
Early morning jungle wilderness excursion and birdwatching. Breakfast. Departure to the PSNR. Excursion in search of gray and pink dolphins down the Yanayacu river. Chance to observe flora and fauna (aquatic birds, aquatic turtles, sloths, monkeys, macaws). Visit to Japon and Plantano lakes (cochas), that have a great variety of palms, big trees and a beautiful landscape. The first thing that gets the attention of the visitor is that the water of rivers and lakes reflects, with the fidelity of a mirror, the sky and the clouds, the vegetation of the shores and the big trees, that the visitor has the sensation of navigating through endless mirrors of waters. That is why the PSNR is known as the Jungle of the Mirrors. Lunch (box lunch). Swimming. Piranha fishing. Canoe ride. Birdwatching. Identification of plants. Return to lodge. Dinner. Observation of stars and planets. Myths and legends.

Day 6 : Conclude your Amazon excursiona and fly back to Lima.
Visiting: Amazon River, Iquitos, Lima
Breakfast. Visit a riverbank village to know more about the lifestyle of the river people and their daily activities. The people make their living hunting, gathering, fishing or from agriculture. Lunch. Departure to the city of Iquitos. Arrival to the city of Iquitos in time to board your flight; transfer to hotel. Overnight in Lima.

Day 7 : Fly to Cusco & Discover Cusco
Visiting: Lima, Cusco

Day 8 : Discover Cusco's Environs on a guided tour. Overnight.
Visiting: Cusco Vicinity
Full-day tour (private) to Pikillacta and Tipon Archaeological sites, and also to the beautiful Huacarpay Lagoon, right in the middle of the mountains, where lots of Andean ducks and more birds can be seen. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the lagoon, surrounded by a natural and stunning landscape, return to Cusco. Overnight in Cusco.

Day 9 : Full day tour to discover the Sacred Valley.
Visiting: Cusco, Sacred Valley
Full-day tour (private): Visit the Waypo Lagoon, the Moray and Ollantaytambo Archaeological centre. Ollantaytambo is the last real Inca town and it?s great to see this impressive fortress and the town at its feet. Enjoy the landscapes and the contact with the local people.

Day 10 : Vistadome train to Machu Picchu! Guided tour and overnight Aguas Calientes.
Visiting: Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu
Transfer to train station for the Vistadome train to Aguas Calientes and then head by bus to the Citadel of Machu Picchu, guided tour of Machu Picchu (tour is in a group), lunch at Sanctuary Lodge, enjoy some time at your own leisure, for you to explore the site and take many more photos. Overnight in Aguas Calientes.

Day 11 : More Machu Picchu & Return to Cusco
